Season 6 — the latest season for Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone, and the final one before the arrival of Black Ops 6 — is almost here.

Alongside the usual addition of a new weapon and store skins, there are a variety of new maps for Modern Warfare 3, as well as The Haunting, Call of Duty’s annual Halloween event.

Here’s when Modern Warfare 3 season 6 releases in your time zone, as well as an overview of what’s on the way.

MW3 season 6 release time: When does the new MW3 update launch?

Warzone and Modern Warfare 3 season 6 has a release date of Wednesday, Sept. 18, at the same time in every region. Here’s the season 6 release time in your time zone:

  • 9 a.m PDT for the west coast of North America
  • 12 p.m. EDT for the east coast of North America
  • 5 p.m. BST for the U.K.
  • 6 p.m. CEST for western Europe / Paris
  • 2 a.m. JST on May 2 for Tokyo

Based on previous seasons, expect the update to roll out around 24 hours ahead of the above times on Tuesday.

What’s new in MW3 season 6?

For Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone, you can expect the following additions at launch, unless otherwise stated:

  • Two new weapons: the DTIR 30-06 battle rifle, the Kastov LSW light machine gun
  • Three new aftermarket parts: JAK Salvo (for the KATT-AMR), JAK Voltstorm (for the Stormender Launcher), JAK Lance (for the MAX Guardian Shotgun)
  • New battle pass operators, including Farah Karim, Michael Myers, Slamfire, and Alone (Blackcell purchase only)
  • New store skins, including Daryl Dixon, Terrifier’s Art the Clown, and skins inspired by Smile 2
  • New weekly challenges which ultimately reward the “Drawn and Quartered” animated mastery camo
  • A variety of seasonal events, including The Haunting (Sept. 18 and Oct. 16), The Walking Dead: Road to Terminus (Sept. 25 to Oct. 2), Trick ‘r Treat (Oct. 2 to Oct. 16), Purgatory Island (Sept. 25 to Oct. 16), MWIII Rewind (Oct. 9 to Oct. 16)

To “celebrate the final season” and as a “thank you” to players, schematics will now recover twice as quickly, while Operators will be able to access Free Dark Aether Rift Runs without needing to first offer up a Sigil, according to Activision.
