WARNING! This article contains SPOILERS for Dexter: Original sin season 1, episode 9!After officially becoming a serial killer and joining the Miami Metro forensics team, young Dexter Morgan is preparing for his most dangerous kill yet in Dexter: Original Sin’s season 1 finale on February 14. Arriving two years after the divisive limited revival series Dexter: New Blood, Original Sin takes the timeline back to 1991 as Dexter first becomes a serial killer, with Patrick Gibson tackling the titular role and Michael C. Hall narrating. Throughout season 1, Original Sin has provided a deeper look at the Morgan family dynamic, Harry’s conflicts while still alive, and Miami Metro’s dark hidden secrets.

In Dexter: Original Sin season 1, episode 9, Dexter confirmed that Captain Aaron Spencer was Nicky’s kidnapper and Jimmy Powell’s killer. While Dexter had Spencer on his table, he let Spencer go so that he could follow him to find and save Nicky. Meanwhile, the episode showed more of Brian Moser acting as the NHI killer, seemingly intent on getting revenge against those involved in Laura’s death and separating him from Dexter. As Miami Metro separately chases down these killers, Dexter: Original Sin’s season 1 finale is gearing up for some major twists upon its February 14 premiere.
