What Michael Jackson's Kids Have Shared About Their Private World Now

Paris Jackson Details Childhood With Dad Michael Jackson at Neverland

Fans may think they know Michael Jackson’s kids like they know their ABCs. But learning who Prince Jackson, Paris Jackson and Bigi Jackson really are isn’t as easy as one, two, three.

Because while the trio grew up in the spotlight, they actually live pretty private lives. But for Paris, music has been a window into her personal world.

"There are maybe certain things that I don’t want to talk about in an interview or I may not want to talk about on my f--king Instagram," the 28-year-old told Alex Cooper on the Aug. 12 episode of Call Her Daddy. "But with art, I’m going to be honest. I’m going to share my experience and then maybe I will talk about it later as it relates to the music."

Though Paris is the heir to the King of Pop, following in his musical footsteps, she doesn’t compare her songs to her father's. Instead, she does what sounds and feels right to her.

"When you place expectations on other people, you’re just going to end up sour about it," she continued. "And that’s not really my business what other people think of me. And also, if you’re going to kind of try and turn someone into something that is one of a kind when no one else has been able to hold a light that that, you’re going to make yourself miserable doing that."

Still, Paris admits there can be "some humor" in the comparisons. "I’m doing a grunge show, I’m doing a rock show, I’m screaming into a microphone and someone’s like, ‘Why didn’t you moonwalk on stage?'" she added. "And it’s like, 'That’s the wrong show.'"

But she thinks her dad would be a fan. "I don’t like speaking for other people," she clarified. "But based on what I knew about him wanting me to be happy, I think because I’m happy, he would be satisfied with that."

Finding this happiness didn’t happen overnight.

"It’s taken me a very long time to get to where I am right now," Paris shared. "This last year has been the happiest year of my life. And thank God I’m in this place right now 'cause I may not have said those exact words a few years ago."

However, Paris believes everything happens for a reason. And for her, one of those reasons has been her ability to be a friend to others going through shared experiences—whether it be living in the public eye, navigating mental health journeys or battling addiction.

Now more than six years sober after struggling with alcohol and heroin, the model recalled having to take a good look at the woman in the mirror and ask, “What’s it like to be in the right relationship with myself and what’s it like to not be in consuming relationships with different things?’”

Being in the right relationship with herself has included ending relationships that no longer serve her. In the summer of 2025, Paris and her fiancé, music producer Justin Long, broke up, with her noting on the podcast the decision to end her second engagement "was a choice that I needed to make to be happy.”

Now, Paris is focusing more on loving herself and continuing to surround herself with friends and family—including her and Prince’s mom Debbie Rowe (their dad’s second wife after his marriage to Lisa Marie Presley), whom she reconnected with as a teen after Michael’s death in 2009. However, it seems these are the only ties she’s comfortable discussing for now.

"I’m happy," Paris said when asked if she’s single or dating. "That’s all I’m going to say."

One relationship status that’s less vague is the one her 29-year-old brother Prince has with Molly Schirmang—the college sweethearts announcing their engagement last August.

Fans have gotten glimpses into the couple’s relationship both in his YouTube videos and on the red carpet, with Molly joining Prince at events benefiting the family’s nonprofits as well as at the Hollywood premiere of the 2026 movie he co-produced about his dad Michael.

Also joining him at one of the premieres was his brother Bigi, formerly known as Blanket. In a rare red carpet appearance last April, the 24-year-old attended a screening in Berlin, the same city where his dad showed him to the public from a hotel balcony over two decades before.

And while the youngest Jackson prefers a life away from the cameras, he did grant a brief TV interview in 2021.

Touring a room full of memorabilia from his dad’s career, Bigi told Good Morning Britain, "There's a lot of really cool stuff here. I think there's a lot of history in this house and the studio here. And that's what he was all about and that's just kind of what each of us want to do...make things that people hopefully enjoy, but also can benefit their lives."

The Way She Makes Him Feel

Molly Schirmang is very much Prince's lover. Announcing their engagement in August 2025, Prince reflected on their eight years together. "Molly and I have spent a lot of time together and made incredible memories," he wrote on Instagram. "We’ve traveled the world, graduated and grown so much together. I’m excited for this next chapter in our lives as we continue to grow and make great memories."
