While Hailey Bieber looked ethereal at the Met Gala 2026, Justin Bieber kept his literal distance from the star-studded party, opting for a low-key day in Millbrook, New York.

Hailey Bieber Is a Golden Goddess in Plated Armor at Met Gala 2026
Justin Bieber is letting Hailey Bieber be the beauty while he takes a beat.
While the Rhode founder attended the 2026 Met Gala alongside friends like Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner, the “Baby” singer opted to keep his literal distance, spending the day in upstate New York.
And while the 32-year-old—dad to son Jack Blues, 20 months, with Hailey—chose a low-key environment in Millbrook, NY, he made many fans his one less lonely girl as they shared experiences meeting him on social media.
“I am still in shock and haven’t processed that I literally met justin bieber this morning,” one fan wrote in a May 4 Instagram post, alongside a photo of her and Justin. “Literally 8 year old me with her “future mrs. bieber shirt is freakingggg out rn.”
Although Hailey ended up making her way down to New York City for the Metropolitan Museum of Art fundraiser on May 4, ahead of the event she joined him for a quiet weekend away, as she was featured in a fan photo with Justin at All That Java in Millbrook May 2.
Justin wasn’t the only partner who opted not to step up for the Met Gala 2026. While Timothée Chalamet has been dating Kylie since 2023, the avid Knicks fan opted to attend the team’s semifinals game against the Philadelphia 76ers at Madison Square Garden.
Indeed, Timothée shared a glimpse into his courtside view of the game—which saw the Knicks beat the 76ers 137-98—posting a photo to Instagram of his light blue Adidas sneakers against the navy blue paint on the Knicks’ court.

Meanwhile, Hailey and Kylie opted for a girls’ night at the Met Gala. Hailey wore a blue Saint Laurent gown complete with a gold breastplate, looking especially goddess-like for the “Costume Art”-themed evening.
For her part, Kylie opted for a nipple-bearing Schiaparelli gown, complete with a bleached eyebrows glam. And of course, Kendall rounded out the trio in a jaw-dropping nude, custom GapStudio dress.
