World of Tanks is teaming up with the popular TV show Vikings to give players a new Battle Pass loaded with items designed to bring out their inner Scandinavian warrior. World of Tanks is no stranger to crossover events as the game has teamed up with some iconic franchises to insert an extra level of nerdy fun into its strategic battles. While Vikings is taking the spotlight now, previous events have focused on beloved properties like The Terminator , G.I. Joe, Warhammer 40,000, and even the toy brand Hot Wheels.

Starting on November 7 and running for two weeks, World of Tanks' latest 40-stage Battle Pass allows players to earn rewards themed around Vikings with the ultimate goal of unlocking the Felice Tier IX Premium tank equipped with a unique "Westward Bound" 3D style. Commanders will also be able to recruit various warriors to fight by their side, including Ragnar Lothbrok, Bjorn Ironside, and Ivar the Boneless, all of whom played key roles in Vikings. The trio can be unlocked as Basic Rewards with the Battle Pass but those wanting more can purchase Lagertha and Floki from the in-game store.

Alongside Some Other Fantastic Rewards

As mentioned above, the ultimate prize of the Vikings Battle Pass is the Felice Tier IX Premium tank with the "Westward Bound" style that draws from the series to make the vehicle stand out in a crowd. The tank is covered in Viking shields and weapons while fans of the series will undoubtedly recognize the flag and axe of Ragnar Lothbrok strapped to the side. Perhaps the most exciting touch is the raven that flies overhead, keeping an eye on the tank and its passengers for Odin.

The "Westward Bound" 3D style is the reward that stands out the most in the Vikings Battle Pass but that isn't to say there aren't other great designs. One of the included 2D styles pays tribute to the show's fallen heroes while another, named the Spawn of Jormungandr, evokes the decorative elements seen on Viking weaponry. Even players who may not be all that familiar with Vikings will likely find something to enjoy in the latest Battle Pass.

Vikings Is An Unexpected Choice - But It Works Well

I Never Knew How Much I Wanted A Viking Tank

The decision to host a crossover event with Vikings seems like an unexpected move for World of Tanks but there's no denying the quality of the cosmetics in the Battle Pass. Even if you're not a fan of the show, you can't deny that the "Westward Bound" style looks fantastic, fitting surprisingly well into the game world.

Tanks are already cool but giving one a design based on a Viking leader just makes it even better. It's an unconventional crossover, but it's one that's looking like a sure-fire hit for World of Tanks fans.
