Victoria Beckham teases collaboration with her son Cruz as she gets behind the mic during recording studio session

14 years after her final Spice Girls performance, Victoria Beckham is back in the recording studio.

Victoria's son Cruz, 21, has shared a photo of the pop star turned fashion designer, 52, singing in a studio.

Snapping a selfie as his mum belted out some lyrics from behind a mic, Cruz captioned the Instagram snap: 'yeah we got posh back in the studio;)'

He added his track Wannabe, which shares a title with the Spice Girls debut single, as the soundtrack to the post.

Cruz's post sent fans into a frenzy as one commented: 'Cruz out here doing god's work.' ' Can’t wait to hear it, even if as a backing vocal,' added another.

His girlfriend Jackie Apostel added fuel to the fire by commenting with a teasing side eye emoji whilst another begged Cruz to use his influence to reunite the Spice Girls, declaring: 'THANK YOU!!!!!!! Now get the other 4 in the room PLEASE!!!'

Victoria and David's middle son Cruz has had huge success touring and releasing music with his band The Breakers this year, with Victoria spotted cheering him on from the audience at his gigs. 

Last year she and Cruz teamed up for an at-home singalong, performing an acoustic version of the Spice Girls track Viva Forever whilst her son accompanied her on guitar.

Fans called for the pair to release the track together after watching the video which was posted to Cruz's official Instagram page.

Victoria last officially performed with the Spice Girls during the 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremony and before that she joined the band on their 2007-08 world tour. 

In February, she reunited with Mel B, Geri Halliwell, Mel C and Emma Bunton on Instagram for a singalong at her London home after refusing to go on tour in 2019.

She had previously maintained that she would not join the band in any official capacity again, insisting her fashion career was her focus and reiterating that being in the Spice Girls was just a mere four years of her life.

Speaking to Andy Cohen on Sirius XM, last October, she said: 'Before I was in the Spice Girls, I was so self-conscious, and they made me feel that I was good enough.

'But being on stage, I realised as fun as it is, you know, it’s not ultimately what I want to do anymore.

'I don’t know if I could even still sing,' she quipped. 'I mean, I was never that great. It would be tempting. But could I take on a world tour? No I can’t. I have a job…

Earlier this month The Spice Girls devastated fans when they revealed they are releasing a £277 music box set to mark 30 years since the release of their debut hit Wannabe.

The announcement left fans fuming as many were hoping for a reunion tour when the band first teased the release.  

The fivesome instead will release The Singles Collection, the first complete set of every single the group ever released.

The boxset, which will go on sale on 7” colour vinyl and CD on November 6, will also contain unreleased tracks and demos whilst each of the five members have prepared special anniversary messages to be included on the collection. There are various collections available for pre order, with the most expensive being a £277.99 bundle .  

Disappointed fans commented on the Instagram post in their droves with one declaring: 'I'll tell you what I want! What I really really want.....A TOUR WITH ALL 5!!!' 

'We want a tour. Nothing else but that,' agreed another, whilst another wrote: 'What a waste of excitement.' 

Mel B, Mel C, Emma, Geri and Victoria have repeatedly spoken about wanting to mark the milestone somehow.

Back in March, the Spice Girls 30th Anniversary tour was axed, after the group failed to agree on plans for a comeback. 

All five bandmates had been in talks for a series of concerts to celebrate three decades since the release of Wannabe. However, it was reported that the group couldn't come to an agreement on a reunion, and so any plans had been ditched.

A Netflix project to celebrate the anniversary has also been cancelled, with sources claiming Geri in particular had been dragging her heels on whether to sign on. 

Victoria is instead concentrating on her fashion and beauty empire, and on Monday she hit the gym in four-inch stilettos ahead of her Paris Fashion Week show. 

The designer was filmed by her bemused husband David as she strutted on her Stairmaster in the heels, successfully managing to balance her footwear on each step. 

In a video shared to Victoria's Instagram story, David, 51, asked: 'Darling I know it's Fashion Week, but don't you think you're taking this a bit too far?'

Undeterred by the potential to injure herself, Victoria playfully responded: 'No I'm just training'.  

The Spice Girl cut a stylish figure in a burgundy leather midi skirt and pale pink shirt from her own fashion label. 

Victoria's holding company – which comprises both the fashion and beauty businesses – made an operating profit of £7.3million in the year to December 2025, a huge improvement from the previous year's figure of a £1.5million loss.
