James Kennedy Dishes on Why He and Ally Lewber are a "Match Made In Heaven"
James Kennedy had a run-in with the law this week.
The Vanderpump Rules star was arrested for misdemeanor domestic violence on Dec. 10, E! News confirmed.
According to the Burbank Police Department, law enforcement were called to a house in the area around 11:30 p.m. local time after receiving a report of an argument between James and an unnamed woman. After investigating the situation, police determined it was, in fact, a domestic incident and took the DJ to the police station.
James was booked for misdemeanor domestic violence and later posted bail. Formal charges are pending review by the Burbank City Attorney’s office, according to authorities.
E! News has reached out to James’ rep for comment and has not heard back.
While it's unclear who else was involved in the incident, James and girlfriend of nearly two years Ally Lewber attended Kathy Hilton's DIRECTV holiday party that same night in Beverly Hills along with many other Bravo stars.
James’ arrest comes just weeks after it was announced that Bravo is saying goodbye to the current Vanderpump Rules cast and bringing in a whole new batch of SUR-vers for its upcoming 12th season.

“I can’t lie, I’m holding back some tears as I write this," the 32-year-old wrote on Instagram Nov. 26 in response to the shakeup. "It’s been a pleasure being a part of Vanderpump Rules and filling your TV screens with our lives over the past decade. I’ve dedicated my life to this show and I’m forever grateful to everyone who tuned in."
“It’s been a wild ride and I’m excited to see what the future holds," he concluded. "Although this is a bittersweet ending, for me, this is just the beginning! THANK YOU.”
Just last week, Ally—who joined VPR season 10 in 2022 when she started dating the musician—shed more insight into how James was dealing with the difficult change.
"He was just going to the gym and doing his thing, but I could just tell he was a little low," she told Us Weekly Dec. 3., adding that James was in a state of "grieving."
“I think he was just like, ‘Wow, that was crazy,'" she added. "It was just an insane part of his life and such an important part of his life. I think he’s so proud—I know he’s so proud—of where he’s at now compared to where he started the show. So, I think it’s just gratitude and looking back and going, ‘Holy s--t. We just did that, and now we can move on.’”
