Mage: The Ascension and more World of Darkness games will come back after Vampire: The Masquerade 6th Edition

While Vampire: The Masquerade 6th Edition was White Wolf's big reveal at Gen Con 2026, the TTRPG publisher also teased the other World of Darkness games it wants to bring back next. Those plans include some surprising deep cuts, like Changeling: The Dreaming.
World of Darkness creative director Jess Lanzillo revealed during the Future of White Wolf panel that new editions of Mage: The Ascension, Changeling: The Dreaming, and Vampire: The Dark Ages are all in the pipeline. Not much was revealed about these, but Lanzillo teased that they will build on the systems introduced in the newest edition of Vampire: The Masquerade.
All of White Wolf's World of Darkness games focus on different parts of a shared supernatural world. Mage: The Ascension is self-explanatory, but features a unique spellcasting system. Changeling: The Dreaming follows fae reborn into human bodies, while Vampire: The Dark Ages explores the medieval history of Vampire: The Masquerade's clans. These games have far fewer editions than other World of Darkness titles, and have not received new ones in a long time.

It's great," Lanzillo revealed during the panel. "We need them. These are all of my favorite games in the whole world."
Werewolf: The Apocalypse and Hunter: The Reckoning fans might be disappointed that their favorite TTRPGs aren't on the roadmap. Lanzillo did acknowledge those two games, explaining that they currently have well-supported 5th Editions, so White Wolf is prioritizing some underserved titles first. There's no word on the status of new editions for World of Darkness TTRPGs Wraith: The Oblivion, Mummy: The Resurrection, and Demon: The Fallen.
While we don't have a release date for Vampire: The Masquerade 6th Edition yet, Lanzillo said her team "would like to come out with a core book once per year." Once White Wolf gets the ball rolling on releasing new editions of its games again, it seems like we can expect them at a steady pace.
