Dax Shepard has fully embraced parenthood. But when his wife Kristen Bell thought she was pregnant after welcoming daughters Lincoln and Delta, the Armchair Expert host admittedly "freaked out" and got a vasectomy days later.

“Kristen was not thrilled I did it so quickly," Dax said on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in 2016, "but I’m a man of action."

Any concerns Hilary Duff's husband Matthew Koma had about a vasectomy are so yesterday.

Because after announcing they were expecting daughter Townes in 2024, he documented his trip to the doctor's office to get the procedure—noting it’s better than going to the “dentist for sure.”

While Brian Austin Green has played many parts, he wasn’t ready to take on the role of father of six. So, two months after his fiancée Sharna Burgess gave birth to their son Zane in 2023, the Beverly Hills, 90210 alum had a vasectomy.

"Zayn was born," Brian—who also shares son Kassius with ex Vanessa Marcil as well as kids Noah, Bodhi and Journey with ex Megan Fox—recalled on his podcast Oldish in 2024,"I was like, 'I think it’s time to close the shop.'"

Khloe Kardashian cut to the chase about how she felt about ex Tristan Thompson getting a vasectomy. As the reality star put it on a May 2025 episode of her podcast Khloe in Wonder Land, "Tristan may have had a little ultimatum from me."

While the former NBA player—who welcomed daughter True and son Tatum with Khloe before their on-again, off-again relationship ended in 2021—acknowledged the procedure was quick, he noted he wouldn't want a reversal.

As the dad of four said, “I’m not laying down on that table again.”

After saying hello to the procedure, Ashton Kutcher took a THC mint at a friend’s wedding in Italy and, as he put it to Esquire, "that s--t did not go well," explaining that after the high hit he was convinced he lost feeling below his waist.

Kane Brown doesn’t have any more what ifs about getting a vasectomy.

Because after he welcomed son Krewe with wife Katelyn Brown in 2024, the country singer—who is also dad to their daughters Kingsley and Kodi—had the procedure.

"I’m just sky high," Kane recalled on The Bobby Bones Show of how doctors and nurses gave him gas. "They’re just having their conversation about their day and all this stuff, and then you’re just on the table spread-eagle. It was wild."

"That vasectomy was the biggest mistake I ever made," the Dr. Phil show host told Newsweek in 2011 about the procedure he had while wife Robin McGraw was pregnant with their son Jay McGraw. "I was 29."

So, he had the procedure reversed, and the couple went on to welcome son Jordan McGraw.

The former Bachelor shared in 2022 that he had a vasectomy—then underwent a reversal in 2024. Months later, Arie and Lauren Burnham announced they were expecting baby no. 4, with daughter Livvy arriving in 2025. By the end of that year, Arie posted a video of himself calling to schedule another vasectomy.

"Making THAT call for the third time…" he wrote on Instagram. "Need a punch card."

Nikki Sixx underwent the procedure following his 2007 divorce from second wife Donna D'Errico. Already a father of four, the Mötley Crüe bassist thought his family was complete. However, he underwent a sperm-retrieval procedure after marrying wife Courtney Sixx in 2014, and the couple welcomed daughter Ruby five years later.

"They just had to take it out of me—that's no party getting your [testicles] cut open," he joked to USA Today in 2019. "Getting your [testicles] cut open is like being in Mötley Crüe in 1987."
