"The whole time, I’m saying hi to all these familiar faces and some friends of Taylor… and I’m just like, ‘All right, got to remember saw that person. I’m like throwing them in like my memory bank [thinking] ‘Don’t forget, cause she’s going to want some details ’cause she didn’t get a chance to go."
It's a very relatable situation for many, but sometimes it just seems impossible. As the night goes on and the swirl of faces and names rushes past, they end up blending into one another and becoming forgettable. The result is an inability to recollect the finer details of a night, and a frustrating lack of information for anyone who asks.
But Taylor Swift is a busy woman, and she often has to skip events she would probably prefer to go to rather than her superstar status obligations. She has been teaching Kelce to go on her behalf, catch up on all the news, and relay it back to her. He needs to ask the right questions, talk to the right people, and, most importantly, remember what they said. He says he's trying his best.
However, as is always the problem with parties like these, the beers keep coming. Beers and memory don't particularly go hand in hand. This is what Kelce blames for his inability to recount all the information he should have stored for Swift. "And then the beers just make a lot of the details go away. You’re just like, ‘This is how I never remember the details.'"
