The Traitors' heartthrob Alexander Dragonetti has issued an update on his relationship status, to the delight of fans.

While some viewers have been glued to the ups and downs of the Faithfuls and Traitors, others were far more interested in the dishy British diplomat, with the 38-year-old steadily earning himself a heartthrob status.

After being quizzed by MailOnline on whether he is still single, Alexander laughed: 'I am still single... I will probably leave it there.'

Addressing the interest he's received from fans, he joked: 'Yes, thanks Claudia for announcing that I am a singleton on national TV. I mean, I'm so grateful for all the support. It's been absolutely fantastic.

'I've been so lucky. I'm getting used to social media. I put up a small video last night, but I really mean it.

'This process has been so much more fun and so much easier because of all that support out there, so I'm super grateful to all those supporting me.'

Fellow Faithful Francesca Rowan-Plowden, who goes by Frankie in the show, chimed in with her own take on Alexander's newfound heartthrob status.

She joked: 'Well, my personal Whatsapp is very busy with questions about him. All my divorced and single friends asking when can I meet Alexander? They keep saying “oh Alexander is lovely” and I’m like, I know I know.'

When asked if he was on Tinder or Hinge, the diplomat cheekily responded: 'No comment'.

It comes after host Claudia Winkleman revealed that she been inundated with messages about Alexander from her friends.

Indeed, so popular was Alexander, that host Claudia even declared he was single during a recent episode of the BBC show.

However, during Friday's spin-off show The Traitors: Uncloaked, Claudia told how she'd been swamped requests about the hunk's, noting that many of her pals have urged her to 'define how single' he was.

Claudia then went on to apologise to Alexander for publicly confirming his relationship status amid the huge attention he's received while on the show.

She said: 'I'm so sorry that I reported to the group that you were single.

'I've had more messages about you, you are... you're king!'

It came days after TikTok users had 'have found Alexander's dating profile on Hinge' as female fans continued to swoon over the season favourite.

Some TikTok users posted screenshots from what appears to be Alexander's online dating profile - sparking a frenzy of interest from women in the comments section.

Grabs from Alexander's alleged Hinge profile included several pictures of The Traitors star as well as responses to three prompts.

Answering a question about 'my simple pleasures', the Hinge user believed to be Alexander replied: 'I enjoy foreign supermarkets, the graphic that pops up when my email is empty & buying fruit I've never seen before'.

When asked to complete the phrase 'I bet you can't', he replied: 'Beat me in a dancing competition.

Leanne Quigley and Jake Brown have won The Traitors as the Faithfuls took home the £94,600 prize money in an excruciating final on Friday evening

'Prove me wrong,' 'Alexander' dared any prospective matches.

According to the profile, the Hinge user - who fans are convinced is the real Alexander - is 5ft8, attended the University of Oxford, and currently lives in London.

He also shared 'two truths and a lie' about himself, including 'I've lived in Palestine, Pakistan, and Nigeria' and 'I am the Secret Garden Party pun champion'.

Elsewhere, Francesca Rowan-Plowden, Leanne, Alexander, Jake and Charlotte Berman were the five remaining contestants going into the tense final.

But it was Faithfuls who managed to out smart the Traitors and bag the £94,600 prize money.

In the most fiery roundtable yet, the Faithfuls banished the final Traitor of the series. But in yet another new twist the 'Welsh' business director didn't reveal her status as she left the castle.

It left the four remaining players considering whether there could be a final villain, with suspicions landing on Alexander in particular, who was the next to be banished.

But the game didn't end there as the final three also all voted to banish again in an excruciating round of endgame.

While Frankie opted to banish Jake, Leanne and Jake then turned on Frankie as she became the final player to leave the castle, leaving Leanne and Jake victorious.
