Traitors fans convinced there is a second SECRET relationship on the show as they share all of their theories over who is hiding their connection

The Traitors has become known for its shock plot twists which have previously included a secret couple and mother and son relationship in past series.

Previously contestants have chosen to keep their relationships hidden from their co-stars for some or all of their duration in the castle.

But at the beginning of series three, Maia and Armani revealed that they were sisters and chose to tell the rest of the cast about their sibling connection.

Since the BBC show kicked off last week, fans have become convinced that the sisters aren't the only pair who knew each other prior to the show.

As well as the contestants turning into detectives, viewers have also turned into super-sleuths as they share theories about connections the Faithfuls have missed.

Online detectives have suggested their may be a grandmother and grandson as well as a mother and son hiding in plain sight.

Others have speculated that two of the men may be brothers, while another pair are a secret couple as well as a son and mother-in-law connection.

Dan and Linda

Viewers have claimed that they think Dan could be Linda's grandson.

They noted that the two quickly formed a bond from the first episode of the show and Dan is often found at her side during discusses in the castle.

Fans have said that during conversations Dan often has Linda's back - especially when she was under fire in the early episodes.

While it may be suggested they would separate themselves to hide their relationship, if nobody has clocked onto their closeness then there would be no need.

Retired opera singer Linda lives in Hertfordshire while Dan resides in Liverpool, but the distance between them doesn't necessarily mean they can't be related.

Lisa and Alex

Another theory circulating online is that Anglian priest Lisa, who is from Cornwall, is related to care manager Alex, from Whitby.

Lisa, who is yet to reveal her profession to the rest of the cast, bares a striking likeness to Alex but others are convinced she could actually be his mother in law.

Alex previously shared that he watched the first series of the show with his mother-in-law, who thought that he would do well in the games.

In a Reddit thread, one person speculated:'These two have to be related, surely?'

Another fan of the BBC show added: 'I saw a comment on Reddit last week saying they are the only two contestants whose social media is private (haven't fact-checked that myself); if that is the case I'd say this is a great shout.'

Dan and Joe

Dan and Joe clashed in the most recent episode of the show, but some have suggested that the familiarity between the pair may suggested a previous bond.

While some have claimed they think Dan and Joe may be in a relationship, others have said that they think the two men could be brothers.

Dan's dramatic eye-roll at Joe during Wednesday's episode was an expression only an exasperated sibling would pull during a family fight.

Their bickering hasn't gone unnoticed by viewers who claimed the ease with which they argue suggests there is already a connection there.

Sharing their thoughts on X, viewers mused: 'Wait those 2 guys that argued at the end of the round table sound and look exactly the same. Are they related?'

And: 'Do we think there's more relations in the house? Dan and Joe looked and sounded the same a minute ago!? And Frankie also looks like she could be related to Joe... hmm'

Frankie and Freddie

Frankie and Freddie have sparked speculation that they could be mother and son.

Their close bond has won the hearts of viewers, but also led them to believe that they may already know each other outside of the show.

After Freddie broke down in tears at the roundtable he was wrapped in a warm hug by Frankie, who reassured him 'it's just a game'.

Frankie previously said that Freddie 'reminded her of her own son', who is similar in aged - but maybe he actually is her son.

Viewers on X seem to think so, as they said: 'I'll put it out there... Freddie and Francesca are mother and son?'

'Freddie is definitely Francesca's son... right? #TheTraitors' and 'Francesca is Freddie's mum, calling it!'

Charlotte and Alexander

Alexander returned to the show on Wednesday evening after he hastily left the programme just moments into the first episode by sacrificing his place on the train.

He arrived back on screens in a huge hanging cage and his co-stars had to win coins in order to pay for his release.

When Charlotte delivered him a coin she gave Alexander a big smile as she dropped a coin in to lower him.

Viewers noted that he seemingly over compensated shouting 'thank you, I don't know you, but thank you'.

Charlotte is currently pretending to have a Welsh accent and has been tricking her co-stars into believing she hails from south Wales.

She actually has a posh English accent and Alexander is equally well spoken with the both of them living in London.
