Jennifer is a TV and Movie News Editor at ScreenRant. She started her journey in entertainment media in 2022 when she first joined Valnet at CBR before coming to ScreenRant.

Jennifer loves TV, especially science fiction. She also loves late-night talk shows, due to her insomnia. Alien: Earth is definitely one of her favorite shows, and she jumps on any chance she gets to write about it. Even on her days off, she will claim an Alien Earth article if one is available.

Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy Fallon are two of her favorite late-night hosts, and Conan O'Brien before he left his show.

Her Alien: Earth coverage for ScreenRant is by far the work that she is most proud of so far.

She was initially a finance and political editor, but her passion for pop culture convinced her to transition into entertainment journalism.

During her off time, she loves to binge-watch cooking shows such as Kitchen Nightmares. Jennifer also loves spending time with her daughter and cherishes every moment of it.

A decade after redefining zombie movies, Yeon Sang-ho's Train to Busan is set to return to theaters following the debut of his new film, Colony.

Directed by Sang-ho, Train to Busan originally premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in 2016, where it quickly skyrocketed in popularity for its intense pacing and emotional storytelling. The film follows a group of passengers trapped aboard a high-speed train as a deadly zombie outbreak spreads rapidly across South Korea. Its mix of action and character-driven drama helped it become both a critical and commercial success worldwide.

Well Go USA Entertainment announced that the hit horror film Train to Busan will be re-released in 4K on August 14, 2026, just in time for its 10th anniversary. Its return to the big screen will offer audiences a chance to experience the critically acclaimed thriller with enhanced visual clarity for the very first time.

The film’s cast consists of Gong Yoo, Ma Dong-seok, Choi Woo-sik, and Kim Su-an. Their performances were praised and brought the film to life. Over the years, Train to Busan has remained a film that redefined the zombie genre, earning a place on the New York Times Critic’s Pick and inspiring other movies and TV shows.

Alongside the re-release, Well Go USA also revealed it has secured North American distribution rights to Yeon’s latest project, Colony. The new film is scheduled to premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in May, with a theatrical release set for August 28, 2026, just two weeks after Train to Busan.

Colony centers on Professor Se-jeong, who finds herself trapped inside a quarantined biotech facility after a mutating virus is accidentally unleashed during a conference. As authorities seal off the building to prevent it from spreading, the people inside must fight for their lives. The film appears to feature the same themes as Train to Busan but in a more contained setting. Check out the trailer for Colony below:

The cast of Colony is led by Gianna Jun, marking her return to feature films for the first time since 2015. She is joined by Koo Kyo-hwan, who is known for his roles in genre and action films. The upcoming zombie thriller is expected to perform well worldwide, just like Train to Busan, due to its similarities and the director attached.

Doris Pfardrescher, President and CEO of Well Go USA Entertainment, released a statement expressing her excitement for both releases. She said that Train to Busan was a breath of fresh air upon its release, and many projects have followed in its footsteps since. She also described Colony as a bold evolution of Sang-ho’s work, implying that the film will be more intense than its predecessor.

No one delivers zombie films quite like Yeon Sang-ho. TRAIN TO BUSAN redefined the genre for audiences around the world, and we’re excited to bring it back to theaters in 4K for its 10th anniversary. With COLONY, he takes that intensity and scale even further, delivering a bold and terrifying new vision for fans.

Train to Busan will return to theaters on August 14, 2026, and Colony will release to the public on August 28, 2026.
