The synopsis of Tracker season 2's midseason premiere promises a new lead in Colter's white whale case, which refers to the unsolved disappearance of Gina Picket. Season 2's premiere establishes Colter Shaw's (Justin Hartley) connection to Gina's sister Camillle (Floriana Lima), with Gina being the first person that Colter has failed to track down. The case had been in the background until Colter teamed up with a retired detective, Keaton (Brent Sexton), to catch a serial killer. In return for his help, Keaton offered to take a fresh look into the case, leading him to interrogate a former associate of Frank Whales.
