The Tony Hawk Pro Skater social media accounts have gotten a refresh for the franchise's 25th anniversary and fans are now ablaze with speculation.

No official news of any kind has been released, but Tony Hawk Pro Skater accounts on X/Twitter, YouTube, and Facebook all got a facelift with a 25th anniversary logo (Thanks Eurogamer). All the images have a 2024 copyright water mark, which suggest Activision has renewed the franchise's copyright. The update has fans wondering if a Pro Skater 3 and 4 remaster is on the horizon.

The most recent game in the franchise was Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2, which released back in September 2020. It remade the original two games adding a robust create-a-park feature, online multiplayer, and several new skaters. Vicarious Visions developed the remake, but became Blizzard Albany shortly after release upon merging with the World of Warcraft and Overwatch developer. A THPS 3 + 4 remake was in active development, but was ultimately sidelined in favor of Blizzard Albany taking a support studio role. Since the merger, Blizzard Albany has successfully unionized.

In other skating game news, an EA Skate follow-up is in the works. The development team Full Circle showed off changes and improvements to the "Flick-It" system back in June. A release date or window has yet to be announced.
