Tomb Raider is one of those franchises that refuses to stay down. It's always managed to keep up with the times, and in many ways, it helped usher in a brand-new subgenre of 3D spelunking adventures in the mid-'90s. Part of that magic is due to the indomitable nature of Lara Croft, who keeps coming back for bigger and bigger expeditions and getting into even more trouble over the past three decades.
A future release date isn't stopping fans. Over on Reddit, the Tomb Raider community is discussing a pretty significant freebie for long-time fans, which you can claim now before the game is out.
Right now, you can link up with an Amazon Games iD system and claim a free wetsuit outfit for Legacy of Atlantis when it arrives on February 12, 2027.Here are the details: "Want extra outfit options for Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis? Sign up for an Amazon Games iD account and get the exclusive Mediterranean Wetsuit Outfit when you link your Amazon Games iD to your [account]. The outfit will be available in-game at launch."
It's short and sweet. All you need to do is go to the official Amazon Games iD site (which is strangely separate from the Luna landing page), link your platform of choice, and you're good. If you're not sure what platform you want Legacy of Atlantis on eventually, you can link multiple if you like. There's no expiration date for the promotion right now, but if you jump on it early, you won't miss out.
So what's the big deal with this outfit? Well, it honors Tomb Raider: Underworld, a polarizing yet very well-known 2008 entry in the Tomb Raider franchise. It was actually part of the "Legend" trilogy, developed by Crystal Dynamics following Core Design's original stewardship of the franchise, from the franchise debut in 1996 through Angel of Darkness in 2003.
While Underworld might not have a sterling reputation, pretty much all of Lara's outfits are iconic, and collecting as many of them as possible is a surefire way to win over long-time Tomb Raider enthusiasts. It also shows that the current studio is keeping the classic Lara era in mind as they craft a new adventure.
Having played Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis for roughly an hour at Summer Game Fest (SGF) 2026, I was thoroughly impressed by how it felt like a classic Tomb Raider game with a newer sheen. If it can come together and reconcile some performance wonkiness with an early build, it could be something special.
