Netflix has revealed the first behind-the-scenes look at its upcoming adaptation of The Secret of Secrets, with Morgan Spector (The Gilded Age) officially taking over the role of Robert Langdon from Hanks. Production on the currently untitled series is now underway in Prague, with Netflix marking the occasion by releasing a new image from the set.
Spector becomes the third actor to portray Langdon in a major live-action adaptation. Hanks previously played the character in The Da Vinci Code, Angels & Demons, and Inferno, while Ashley Zukerman (Silo) took over the role for Peacock’s short-lived television adaptation of The Lost Symbol.
This new Netflix series is adapting Brown’s The Secret of Secrets, the sixth novel in the Langdon series, which was published by Doubleday on September 9, 2025. The story follows Langdon as he races to find a missing scientist and recover her groundbreaking manuscript, whose discoveries could fundamentally change humanity’s understanding of the mind. The series will have a combination of, as you'd expect, mystical lore, futuristic science that the people of the past would consider witchcraft, and the sort of globe-trotting a Harvard professor absolutely cannot afford yet somehow does anyway.

Alongside Spector, Rebecca Hall (The Prestige) will play Katherine Solomon, with Cherry Jones (Succession) as Heide Nagel, Corey Stoll (House of Cards) as Everett Finch, Rob Delaney (Deadpool 2) as Jonas Faukman, and Abbey Lee (Mad Max: Fury Road) as Sasha Vesna.
