Tom Cruise enjoys rare award show appearance as he joins stylish Elle Fanning and Rhea Seehorn at the Saturn Awards in LA

Tom Cruise was among the A-list attendees at the 53 Annual Saturn Awards held at Universal Hilton in Los Angeles on Sunday.

The actor, 63, mingled with a number of stars inside, including Elle Fanning, 27, and Rhea Seehorn, 53, who were both nominated.

The Mission: Impossible star - who reportedly helped thwart Netflix's bid to acquire Warner Bros in a bid to protect the cinema industry - opted for a navy suit paired with a crisp white button-up shirt.

He presented the Visionary Award to Oscar-winning Mission: Impossible series director Christopher McQuarrie, who helmed the last four films in the legendary franchise. 

Cruise flashed a megawatt smile while posing alongside Fanning, who looked chic in a white blazer paired with a black bralette and skirt. 

The Saturn Awards honor the best in science fiction, fantasy, and horror in film and television. Fanning won the Best Actress in a Film gong for her role in the 2025 sci-fi film Predator: Badlands. 

Her blonde hair was pulled back in a ponytail and she accentuated her features with just a touch of makeup. 

While accepting her award she joked: 'When I was presented with the idea of being in a Predator film, I can certainly say that it came as a surprise. I did not think that anyone would think of me and the iconic franchise in the same sentence.'

Cruise was also pictured with Seehorn, who stunned in a black leather dress that highlighted her toned arms. 

Her blonde hair was styled into a chic bob, and she accessorized her look with gold star earrings. 

She paired the dress with dark nail polish and an ornate gold ring. 

Seehorn was nominated for Best Actress in a Television Series for her role in Pluribus. 

Cruise was later seen embracing Frankenstein director Guillermo del Toro inside. 

Denise Richards, 55, was also in attendance. The star put her toned legs on display in a one-shoulder vibrant yellow mini dress.

She added height to her look with gold heels and carried a turquoise clutch.

She was joined by former Starship Troopers co-star and boyfriend Patrick Muldoon, 57. 

Like Cruise, Muldoon also opted for a navy suit. 

Ryan Coogler's Sinners, James Cameron's Avatar: Fire and Ash and Marvel's The Fantastic Four: First Steps led all film nominees in the competitive categories. 

Meanwhile Star Wars creator George Lucas was honored with the Dr. Donald A. Reed Founder's Award. 

Other honorees included Terry Matalas, who received the Robert Forster Artist's Award presented by Paul Bettany.

James Cameron and producer Gale Anne Hurd were the recipients of the George Pal Memorial Award honoring the 40th anniversary of Aliens. 

Star Trek received the Saturn Hall of Fame Award, recognizing 'franchises whose legacy extends far beyond the screen and into the cultural fabric of generations.' 

Titus Welliver was honored with the Lance Reddick Legacy Award. 

The award 'celebrates performers who serve as true goodwill ambassadors in the industry.' 

Welliver co-starred with Reddick in Bosch. 

Meanwhile Prime Video's The Boys was honored with the Spotlight Award. 

Joel McHale returned as host this year. 

Since its founding in 1972, the Saturn Awards have remained the only program devoted entirely to honoring achievements in science fiction, fantasy, horror, superhero, and action-adventure storytelling.
