On Nov. 15, the retired NFL legend brought John "Jack" Edward Thomas, 17, to the New York Knicks' game against the Brooklyn Nets during the second annual Emirates NBA Cup tournament in Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Tom shared a selfie of himself with his son, who he shares with ex Bridget Moynahan. He captioned the pic, which he posted on his Instagram Stories, "The luckiest Dad in the world," adding three red heart emojis.
The 47-year-old was shown on the jumbotron during the event, during which he autographed a football, threw it into the crowd, and then tossed another.
"I have a son who's 6-foot-5 and wants to play basketball," the seven-time Super Bowl champion said at the Fortune Global Forum in New York City Nov. 12. "Unfortunately, he jumps as high as I do, but I tell him, 'Dude, you’re gonna be a stud.'"
The former New England Patriots quarterback, who is 6 feet, 4 inches tall, added once Jack hits his growth spurt, he'll be jumping higher and dunking.

"Whether he does or not, who cares?" he added. "But I want him to know that his dad's got his back."

Tom said he'll be there to support all his kids when it comes to their own challenges and aspirations, just like his own parents Galynn Brady and Thomas Brady did.
"When I was that long shot as a kid, who was the backup quarterback on a freshman team," Tom recalled, "they never said, ‘Man, don't do that. It's gonna be too hard. Let's do something different. Let's think about another backup plan.'"
The former Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback continued, "They kinda said, ‘You know what? Go for it. Whatever you wanna be, go for it.'"
