In the thick of awards season, Timothée Chalamet is looking like a shoo-in for his role in Marty Supreme, but fans were stunned to discover just how deep his Hollywood roots run.

The 30-year-old has already cemented A-list status with hits like Call Me by Your Name and Dune, and now his Oscar-worthy work has him at the center of chatter about nepotism.

From Matthew McConaughey's son scoring modeling gigs to Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke’s daughter landing major acting roles, Tinseltown has always been a family affair, and Chalamet’s meteoric rise has fans wondering if his name helped smooth the way.

A viral tweet summed up the sentiment: 'Hollywood is giving him special treatment. Chalamet is a nepo baby but a lot of people don’t know that. He has an uncle in the industry who opened a lot of doors for him.'

That uncle is Rodman Flender, a respected actor and director whose credits include The Office, Ugly Betty and the film Leprechaun 2 - and Conan O’Brien’s BFF for decades.

Fans on Reddit pointed out that Chalamet’s mother Nicole Flender, Rodman's sister, also has deep entertainment roots, having worked as a stage actress and dancer on Broadway.

One user wrote: 'My point is this dude came from money and is only here because of his family’s industry connections.

'He would never be able to achieve his status if he came up like most of us, working two jobs while chasing the dream.'

Another Reddit user added: 'His mom was a dancer on Broadway. You don’t get on Broadway without being a member of the Actor’s Equity Association.'

Observant fans even noticed the resemblance between Chalamet’s mom and uncle. 'He and his sister look so much alike wow (Timmy’s mom Nicole),' one wrote.

Rodman is also known for his long-standing friendship with O'Brien and for directing the candid 2011 documentary Conan O'Brien Can't Stop.

He honed his acting skills at New York's High School of Performing Arts and London’s Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art before earning a degree from Harvard University.

Nicole isn’t just the mother of two successful actors (her daughter Pauline starred in The Sex Lives of College Girls) she’s also a top real estate agent with Corcoran in New York City.

According to Curbed, she has been selling real estate for nearly a decade, after her husband, Marc Chalamet - a French journalist turned UN employee - discovered discounted courses at the New York Real Estate Institute.

Before real estate, Flender was a dance teacher in New York City public schools.

Her children, at that time aspiring actors but not yet famous, had left the nest: Timothée was about to audition for Call Me by Your Name, and his sister Pauline was at acting school in Paris.

Flender’s ties to entertainment run even deeper.

Her father Harold was a comedian and novelist whose book Paris Blues was adapted into a film starring Sidney Poitier, while her mother, Enid, was a Broadway dancer.

In the 1970s, the family moved into Manhattan Plaza, a subsidized housing complex for performing artists, where their neighbors included a young Larry David.

Despite her own impressive career, Flender has been proudly supportive of her children.

After Timothée won the SAG Award for Male Actor in a Leading Role for A Complete Unknown, she told Entertainment Tonight, 'It’s just incredible because I was with him from the start.

'From those first commercials he did and Law & Order at 11 years old. I’m so happy. I’m so proud.'

Her résumé is nothing short of remarkable.

As a child, she danced at Lincoln Center with the New York City Ballet, performed in multiple Broadway musicals, and now serves as an officer of the Actors’ Equity Association, representing over 50,000 stage actors.

She also votes for the Tony Awards and authored Cool Careers for People Who Love Movement.

With Marty Supreme sweeping the awards circuit and his family legacy now in full view, it seems Chalamet’s Hollywood roots run deeper than many fans realized - a true nepo baby story, but one backed by undeniable talent.
