Apple is getting ready to show its newest device during an event on Wednesday, February 19th. Tim Cook revealed the date in a post on X, saying “Get ready to meet the newest member of the family,” alongside a GIF of the Apple logo.

Apple is widely expected to reveal the latest generation of its iPhone SE, which hasn’t seen a refresh since 2022. Last week, a report from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman said the device will likely arrive in the “coming days.” Rumors suggest that it will come with some significant design changes, including a bigger screen, no home screen button, and Face ID instead of Touch ID.

It’s also rumored to feature an A18 chip that will enable Apple Intelligence and may come with the company’s first in-house cellular modem, according to Bloomberg. Leaks suggest that the iPhone SE could have an Action button too, and a single camera on its rear.

Correction, February 13th: A previous version of the article incorrectly stated the iPhone SE is rumored to have Touch ID, but it’s actually expected to have Face ID.
