Married At First Sight season 18 has been quite exciting to watch, especially after several disappointing seasons, making it one of the most engaging seasons in the franchise. MAFS season 17 was toxic and disappointing for most fans, making many question the show's authenticity. The Denver edition had zero successful couples, and several MAFS cast members tried to make themselves look good on camera, thus deceiving the audience. However, MAFS season 18, which takes place in Chicago, promised a different route. This season's couples look promising despite a few hiccups that have surfaced later as new episodes dropped.

For instance, when MAFS experts matched David Trimble with Michelle Tomblin, everything seemed perfect. Michelle, a blonde, blue-eyed lady, was exactly what David needed. However, it didn't take long for their connection to start deteriorating. Michelle was repelled by David's living arrangements after he confessed that he still lived in his parent's basement. There's also a possibility that David will be involved in the cheating scandal, which is meant to be go down later in MAFS season 18. Despite the different dramatic moments, MAFS season 18 has unique aspects, making it one of the most engaging seasons for viewers.

MAFS Has A History Of Quitters

Some Participants Left The Experiment Early

There have been several moments where MAFS couples quit before Decision Day. In MAFS season 16, one couple called it quits after their honeymoon. Mackinely Gilbert and Domynique Kloss seemed like a great match and had great chemistry when they met at the altar, so their early season divorce was surprising. After their honeymoon, Domynique refused to move in with Mackinely, ultimately leading to their separation. MAFS season 4 couples Heather Seidel and Derek Schwartz only stayed together for ten days before separating.

Additionally, Morgan Bell from MAFS season 15 seemed to have lost all trust in sustaining a healthy relationship with her husband Binh Trinh, who claimed that the MAFS reality star was lying about being a nurse. With these scenarios, MAFS experts should ensure that anyone who quits mid-season is dropped. Luckily, there seem to be no quitters in season 18, with every cast member agreeing to go through the process to the end, no matter how uncomfortable it makes them feel.

MAFS Season 18's Couples Are Sticking With The Process

They Are Committed

A few of MAFS season 18 couples have chosen to stick to the process despite having reservations about their partners. Michelle was so excited about meeting her life partner that she was initially willing to compromise living with a man who stayed home. That was until she met David. The reality star has since been so hung up on David's living situation that she doesn't seem interested in exploring their connection. Even though Michelle has been unkind to David, she is staying committed to the experiment.

Juan Franco is another cast member who obviously doesn't like his match. He's married to Karla Juarez but recently admitted that forming an organic chemistry with her was hard (via Mafslifetime). The couple is still going through the marriage experiment, and no one seems to have given up. Karla and Juan appeared so compatible on paper, but their differences became evident as MAFS season 18 continued. Karla is searching for someone to pamper her, while Juan seems to be searching for a career-oriented woman.

Interpersonal Cast Drama Will Shake MAFS Season 18 Up

With The Scandals Coming Up

Married At First Sight season 18 teased about couples swapping and a cheating scandal that would rock the participant's foundation. All the clues have pointed to David and Madison Myers as the two individuals involved. Madison was paired with Allen Slovick, whom she's had an issue with since the day he wore broccoli print undies. With Madison and David seemingly unhappy in their relationships, they might be part of the cheating scandal, which would shake up the group. Although Madison and Michelle aren't so close, it will be difficult for the two women to see eye to eye if they're involved afterward.

Married At First Sight airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. EST on Lifetime.
