Millennials who grew up in the 1990s are going to have a blast this March, with a host of shows from their childhood finally becoming accessible. An entire slate of Cartoon Network shows is heading to a free streaming platform next month, after being removed over the course of several months from HBO Max. Classics such as Batman: The Animated Series, Ben 10, and Dexter's Laboratory will be part of the streamer's expanding library. These shows will be joined by slightly less mainstream titles such as Courage the Cowardly Dog, Ed, Edd n Eddy, and Pinky and the Brain.

One of the most popular titles on this list is The Powerpuff Girls. The superhero show followed the adventures of three sisters created by their "father" in a lab using "sugar, spice, and everything nice." However, the experiment was interrupted when a mysterious ingredient known as "Chemical X" spilled into his concoction, and resulted in the girls developing superpowers. The three characters — Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup — also had distinct personalities, meaning that every child who watched the show growing up probably related to one of them more than the others. The show also featured memorable supporting characters such as The Mayor, his unseen secretary Miss Bellum, the supervillain Mojo Jojo, Fuzzy Lumpkins, and the very creepy HIM. Created by Craig McCracken, The Powerpuff Girls aired nearly 80 episodes over the course of six seasons.

Here's Where You Can Watch 'The Powerpuff Girls' and Other Cartoon Network Shows

The show ran from 1998 to 2005, but had two separate eras — McCracken left after three seasons, with Chris Savino taking over as showrunner. Several episodes of the show, which went on to become a hugely influential pop-cultural touchstone, were directed by the legendary Genndy Tartakovsky. Over the years, there have been many attempts to revive the series for newer audiences; a theatrical movie was released in 2002 to mixed reviews; an anime adaptation aired for a year in Japan; a 2016 reboot aired 116 episodes; a live-action series on The CW was developed by Diablo Cody and Greg Berlanti. The live-action adaptation even cast the central trio and began production on a pilot episode, but the show was unceremoniously canceled amid rumors of poor internal reception. The Powerpuff Girls, along with several other memorable shows, is heading to the free Tubi streaming service on March 1.
