Dave Bautista discusses his one condition to ever return to the MCU. The Masters of the Universe movie is getting ready to enter production. Plus, get a look at what’s coming as Yellowjackets returns for season 3. To me, my spoilers!
Masters of the Universe
After its spate of casting news this week, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson (who was recently cast as Fisto) confirmed to Deadline that filming for the He-Man movie begins in a few weeks.

Symbiosis
Deadline reports Janet Montogomery (Salem) will star in Symbiosis, a Christmas-set “sci-fi/body horror” film about tapeworms that sounds like a cross between 2012’s Deranged and the Monsters episode “Glim-Glim.” Directed by Mark Heller (The Passage) and written by Stephen James Thompson, the story concerns a “husband-and-wife team working over Christmas as the only two people who can save humanity from an alien parasite–tiny tapeworm creatures which have invaded the bodies of the human race. Isolated and suffocating under the weight of their circumstances, the fault lines of the married couple’s relationship are exposed.”
Constantine
Director Francis Lawrence still has hopes to do a sequel to the 2005 DC comics movie, in a new interview with Collider.
I will say we are closer than ever to being able to do a sequel, which is a great thing. And Akiva, Keanu and I are super, super excited about it.
Brett
Deadline also has word Sosie Bacon (Smile) will star in Brett, a new killer doll movie described as being “a little bit Ted, a little bit M3GAN.” The story follows Abby (Bacon),” who returns home with her new fiancé and stumbles upon her cherished childhood ‘Brett’ doll. The doll suddenly awakens and professes his undying love for Abby and intends to prove that he can get all the parts of a real boy and win Abby back from her fiancé.”
Guardians of the Galaxy
Speaking to Comicbook, Dave Bautista stressed that his time as Drax is done–unless, somehow, James Gunn returned to Marvel.
Drax is completely closed to me. Unless James Gunn called me and asked if I would do something as Drax again, I just wouldn’t be interested. If James called me, which obviously is not gonna happen. He’s doing okay, he’s gone a different route.
Until Dawn
Bloody-Disgusting has monstrous “character posters” from David F. Sandberg and Gary Dauberman’s Until Dawn movie ahead of the trailer coming later today. Click through for three more.

The Rule of Jenny Pen
Bloody-Disgsuting, too, has a new poster for the Geoffrey Rush/John Lithgow evil puppet movie, The Rule of Jenny Pen.

God of Frogs
An amphibious elemental causes a woman to be eaten alive in 1969, a film crew to go missing in 1994, a politician to explode live on television in 2019, and a multinational corporation to go up in flames in 2044 in the trailer for the new horror anthology, God of Frogs.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Speaking during an Instagram livestream, James Marsters weighed in on the news of Buffy‘s upcoming revival series.
It’s not a good thing for me to talk about the Buffy reboot… I’m sorry if you were coming here hoping for some news, but in the interest of having the project be the best it can be, it’s best that I keep my mouth shut right now, so I’m gonna do that. I think I’m like everybody. I’m very excited that we’re gonna learn more about the journey of Buffy Summers and how she saves the world because I think the world needs her. So I’m gonna do my part by doing nothing right now.
Yellowjackets
Spoiler TV has a synopsis and images from “It Girl,” the third season premiere of Yellowjackets.
Summer inspires the Yellowjackets to ditch soccer for a more contact-intensive sport and revive an old pagan tradition. In the present, a cringe-worthy funeral flows organically into a bar therapy session.

Common Side Effects
Finally, Marshall tries to grow his own mushrooms on hazardous soil in a clip from next week’s episode of Common Side Effects.
