This Black Friday looks like a good time to find a deal on a pair of smart glasses, and for those of you looking to splurge, there’s a great discount on the very best pair I’ve tried: Xreal One Pro glasses for $599 at Amazon – netting you a $170 saving.

The Xreal One Pro glasses aren’t cheap, but their next-gen optical system, solid Bose-tuned audio, and excellent design make them a really great choice for folks who want to experience the best XR glasses currently out there for entertainment.

The Xreal One Pro glasses are easily the best XR glasses out there if you aren’t after AR functionality or AI smarts and instead want the third kind, which focuses on offering you a giant virtual display to watch content on.

Plug them into a compatible phone, computer, or games console (though for non-USB-C devices you’ll need an adapter), and the glasses will project a massive screen in front of you – it’s like having your own private movie theatre.

They also boast Bose-tuned surround sound speakers, which do a really good job of immersing you in what’s onscreen. That said, when you’re travelling, a pair of headphones will be better so you can cut out noise and not disrupt your fellow travellers.

What makes these specs special, however, is their optical engine, which uses a thinner and flatter reflective prism than other models out there. This provides a bunch of benefits, including that it offers reduced blurriness and fewer disruptive reflections than alternatives.

This is a big reason why I awarded the Xreal One Pro glasses four-and-a-half stars in my review. They’re pricey, but great.
