Fans of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt are officially getting a brand-new release next week that continues Geralt's epic story. "In close collaboration" with veteran developers at CD Projekt Red, the new The Witcher sequel is set to release on Wednesday, March 11.

Geralt officially returns next week in a brand-new sequel, with The Witcher: Blood Stone #2 from CD Projekt Red and Dark Horse Comics set to release. It's the second issue of a four-part series written by Daniel Freedman and with art by Pius Bak, and will be available in local comic book retailers from Wednesday, March 11.

The Witcher: Blood Stone is an ongoing comic series from acclaimed author Daniel Freedman and artist Pius Bak that is coming out with its second issue next week. The first story follows Geralt through some haunted, ancient dwarven mines to seek out a legendary horned beast, while next week's issue sends him to the town of Plinth where he begins to uncover new mysteries.

Blood Stone #2 will build from the first story, and is an exciting opportunity for fans of The Witcher 3's Geralt to see what he's up to while they wait for the next big announcement from CDPR. Fans are waiting patiently for news on The Witcher 4's release, as well as the rumored Witcher 3 DLC, which has still not been officially confirmed despite recent "leaks."

The Witcher: Blood Stone #2 is set to release on March 11 in local comic stores and select online retailers, and as with all issues in the series, is a 32-page, beautifully illustrated release running roughly $5. The series is recommended for ages 16+, and the first issue is already available in stores now.

For future issues in the Blood Stone series, issue #3 is slated for an April 15 release, with issue #4 scheduled for release on May 13, 2026. Further, a full-volume release is scheduled for later this year on October 27. This would be a 100+ page collection of all four stories, and will run roughly $20.

The Witcher: Blood Stone is the 11th official comic book series from Dark Horse that follows Geralt's story beyond the scope of the video game events, all authored by different authors/illustrators with a range of backgrounds. Dark Horse's massive library of The Witcher stories is well worth checking out if you're a fan of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and it's the perfect time to hit your local comic book shop and get caught up.
