Michael B. Jordan's Oscars Best Actor Speech Is Absolutely Perfect

Michael B. Jordan wasn't flipping out about what to do after the 2026 Oscars.

After all, the Sinners star celebrated his Best Actor in a Leading Role win at the 98th Academy Awards on March 15 at a Los Angeles staple: In-N-Out.

Michael—still donning his all-black custom Louis Vuitton suit from the ceremony—was beaming as he showed off his trophy while waiting for his burger order at the fast food restaurant. Fans cheered him on as photographers snapped pics of the Oscar winner at the pickup area. (See every winner from the big night here.)

While Hollywood may have an endless list of fine dining establishments to choose from, none compare to an evening at In-N-Out after the biggest night in film. In fact, it's a decades-long tradition.

"It's such a draw," Glenn Weiss—who has produced and directed the Oscars multiple times since 2017—told The Hollywood Reporter in 2024. "You leave something that was a very long ceremony, and where do you want to go? In-N-Out, of course."

The food spot has even become a caterer for Vanity Fair's afterparty, serving more than 1,500 burgers, which won't be ending anytime soon.

"I think guests would have a field day if we ever stopped," the outlet's director of special projects Sara Marks teased to the outlet. "If you're looking to serve a late-night meal at the tail end of an exhausting awards season run, there's no better choice."

After Michael grabbed his food from In-N-Out, he was ready to hit the dancefloor at the most exclusive afterparty of the season. And for the occasion, he swapped his black look, featuring a Nehru collar and ornate gold buttons, for a chocolate-brown double-breasted suit.

While the 39-year-old's second look for the evening wasn't adorned with gold fixtures, he had more than enough gold in his hands. When he accepted the trophy, he was sure to express his gratitude for all the support he had received throughout his career.

"Thank you, everybody in this room, and everybody at home for supporting me over my career,” he said onstage. "I feel it. I know you guys want me to do well, and I want to do that because you guys bet on me."

"Thank you for keeping betting on me," he added. "I'm gonna keep stepping up. And I'm gonna keep being the best version of myself I can be. So I just wanna say thank you for everybody in this room that has something to do with my success."
