The Traitors villain Paul Gorton has revealed that Linda Rand's 'great moment' which he said may have secured her victory in the BBC game show. 

Retired opera singer Linda, 70, is one of two traitors - alongside call centre manager Minah Shannon - carrying out murders in the iconic Scottish manor. 

Paul, who was a traitor during the second series, revealed that Linda's response to Livi's emotional outburst regarding Tyler Smiths banishment during Wednesday's episode.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun on behalf of Freebets, Paul, 37, said: 'There was a great moment when Kas went.

'The camera pans on them and it goes to the person that's about to say whether they're a Faithful or a Traitor, Linda's got hold of the girl's hand that's sat next to her.

'She's got hold of Libby's hand and I'm looking and I'm going, 'God, everyone round that table...' Because you're not really supposed to touch or hold hands.'

He then explained that you are not supposed to touch people so that would show that she had some sort of bond which would indicate that she is a faithful.  

Fans of The Traitors crowned Linda as their early favourite after just the first episode on New Year's Day.

Linda became one of the first Traitors chosen during this year's game, and fans were quick to throw their support behind the unlikely villain.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, some fans lauded Linda's attempts to go undetected among the Faithfuls, with one branding her the 'Meryl Streep of the Scottish Highlands.'

However, after a slight blunder ahead of the first round table, some shared their fears that she could be the first to be banished from the castle, with the first episode ending mere seconds before the votes were revealed.

After host Claudia Winkleman secretly chose her first three Traitors, Linda visibly reacted to the presenter when she said the title out loud.

It was a move noticed by several Faithfuls, and was soon brought up at the round table, leading others to question her loyalties.
