Although acclaimed returning seasons of Your Friends & Neighbors and Shrinking, and brand-new hits such as Elle Fanning's adaptation of Rufi Thorpe’s bestselling novel, Margo's Got Money Troubles, have blessed Apple TV subscribers in 2026, nothing has proved more popular than a fourth season of Ted Lasso. After Keeley (Juno Temple), Higgins (Jeremy Swift), and Rebecca (Hannah Waddingham) managed to coax Ted (Jason Sudeikis) back from Kansas to coach the new AFC Richmond women's team, the Lady Greyhounds, it was full steam ahead on a season full of heart, hilarity, and plenty of twists and turns.

As Ted Lasso Season 4 continued, each episode was met with more praise as the show found its form again after three years away. This culminated in a final pair of episodes that felt like the very best of the series, with the penultimate installment, "Mae Rides the Bus," proving hugely emotional, and the finale sweeping in to dry the tears and leave fans with the bursting sense of unbound joy that Ted Lasso is best known for. But what's next for Apple TV's flagship series?

Jason Sudeikis Teases More 'Ted Lasso'

Now that Ted is staying in Richmond, albeit as assistant coach to Alice Chilton (Tanya Reynolds), there is certainly room for more. Coach Beard himself, Brendan Hunt, recently admitted that the cast "always basically hoped we were coming back for more than one" season. Now, thanks to a new interview on the Talk Easy with Sam Fragoso podcast, star of the show Sudeikis has teased that there very well could be more Ted Lasso on the horizon.

Sudeikis admitted that he "would like to" do more seasons but that "it takes a village" to make a series such as this come to life. "I would assume so," Sudeikis responded when asked if Apple TV would like to make more seasons, which can't come as much of a surprise considering that the premiere of Season 4 broke a record for Apple by earning 296.6 million views during its first two days. When pressed for a more definitive answer on the show's future, Sudeikis replied, "I just don’t know," adding, "We haven’t started a writers’ room or anything like that."

Ted Lasso is available on Apple TV. Stay tuned to Collider for more updates.
