Slow Horses season 5 has a long awaited new trailer, and fans of one of the best Apple TV+ shows will definitely be on the edge of their seats.

The long-running series, which is already renewed for season 6, returns to our screens on September 24. Our first proper look sees Gary Oldman and Jack Lowden back as everyone's favorite disgraced MI5 agents.

They're in some serious trouble when the new season picks up as Slough House put in lockdown after an attack where 11 people were killed, prompting a race against time to stabilize the situation.

The trailer also gives us a glimpse of Ted Lasso season 4 star Nick Mohammed, and I'm already counting down the days until it returns.

What is the plot of Slow Horses season 5?

Slow Horses season 5 will adapt Mick Herron's novel 'London Rules'. The plot centers around Roddy Ho's suspicious new girlfriend and a series of bizarre events, which escalate into cyber interferences and potential domestic terrorism, looking at the trailer.

As a result of this, we'll see a more prominent role for tech specialist Roddy Ho, played by Christopher Chung. From what we can see, Ho inadvertently sets off a chain of events, so he's got some serious explaining to do.

Nick Mohammed joins the season 5 cast as Zafar Jaffrey, a politician with aspirations to become the next UK Prime Minister, who gets caught up in the central plot.

All the major names are back too including Gary Oldman as Jackson Lamb, Jack Lowden as River Cartwright, Kristin Scott Thomas as Diana Taverner and Saskia Reeves as Catherine Standish.

This is shaping up to be a major season for Slow Horses and after season 4's glowing 100% Rotten Tomatoes score described it as "superb". Hopefully, the upcoming season can replicate this success .
