Jennifer is a TV News Editor at ScreenRant. She started her journey in entertainment media in 2022 when she first joined Valnet at CBR before coming to ScreenRant.

Jennifer loves TV, especially science fiction. She also loves late-night talk shows, due to her insomnia. Alien: Earth is definitely one of her favorite shows, and she jumps on any chance she gets to write about it. Even on her days off, she will claim an Alien Earth article if one is available.

Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy Fallon are two of her favorite late-night hosts, and Conan O'Brien before he left his show.

Her Alien: Earth coverage for Screen Rant is by far the work that she is most proud of so far.

She began her career as an editor in 2014. She was initially a finance editor, but her passion for pop culture convinced her to transition into entertainment journalism.

During her off time, she loves to binge-watch cooking shows such as Kitchen Nightmares. Jennifer also loves spending time with her daughter and cherishes every moment of it.

According to a new trailer, the upcoming episode of The Rookie will see the return of Aaron Thorsen (Tru Valentino).

In a preview from TV Promos, The Rookie season 8, episode 5, titled “The Network,” follows Lieutenant Grey (Richard T. Jones) and an FBI task force asking for the help of Thorsen to take down a criminal operation. Meanwhile, Nolan (Nathan Fillion), Miles (Deric Augustine), Lucy (Melissa O’Neil), and Celina (Lisseth Chavez) look into a shooting.

Officer Thorsen first appeared in The Rookie season 4 and became a series regular in the following season. However, he was written out of the show during its sixth installment when his character transferred to North Hollywood. His exit occurred in the aftermath of a shooting and his fallout with LAPD's psychiatrist, Dr. Blair London (Danielle Campbell).

The preview shows an FBI Agent discussing a new mission with Aaron. It is revealed that they were after a heroin trafficker who just happened to be his former roommate in prison when he was wrongfully accused of murdering his friend.

Previously, Aaron was unjustly imprisoned in France for a murder that he didn't commit. Although he was eventually cleared and went on to join the police force, the experience left lasting scars and shaped how others perceived him. It is heavily implied that in the upcoming episode, one of the most traumatizing parts of his life is now a tool that could be used to stop the criminal network once and for all.

While no specific reason has ever been given for Valentino's exit, it was made clear that he left on good terms. The actor even posted on his Instagram after his departure that this might not be the last time he'll appear in The Rookie. He wrote, "You never know who may pop back up in the Mid-Wilshire precinct. Until then, 7 Adam 19, this is Officer Thorsen, over and out!"

The Rookie airs new episodes every Monday at 10:00 PM ET and 7:00 PM PT on ABC and can be streamed on Hulu the following day.
