Don’t hold out hope for that long-announced Lights Out sequel. Warner Bros. unleashes a veritable horde of Sinners posters to sink your teeth into. Plus, Craig Mazin wants his time with The Last of Us to end with the show itself, and not with spinoffs. Spoilers, away!
Gundam
Deadline reports Sydney Sweeney is attached to star in the live-action Gundam movie at Legendary and Bandai Namco Filmworks. Though written and directed by Jim Mickle (Sweet Tooth), details on either Sweeney’s character or the film’s story are still currently under wraps.
Lights Out 2
Replying to a fan on Instagram (via Bloody-Disgusting), David F. Sandberg stated he believes “the moment has passed” for a sequel to Lights Out.
It’s been nine years since that movie came out. I think the moment has passed. There was a script for a sequel but that particular script wouldn’t work now that Gabriel [Batman] is an adult.
Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow
James Gunn shared a behind-the-scenes photo of Milly Alcock, the incoming DCU Supergirl, on Instagram.
Bring Her Back
Bloody-Disgusting also has a new poster for Bring Her Back, the latest film from Talk To Me directors Danny and Michael Philippou.

Sinners
Not to be outdone, Warner Bros. has released no less than four new posters for Ryan Coogler’s Sinners (also courtesy of Bloody-Disgusting.)

Clown in a Cornfield
Frendo the Clown cuts off a bodybuilder’s head in a new gory new clip from Clown in a Cornfield.
The Grove
Elsewhere, an experimental super soldier goes ballistic when he stops taking his meds during what was supposed to be “a relaxing lake house getaway with friends” in the trailer for The Grove.
Lanterns
According to Entertainment Weekly, Nathan Fillion’s Guy Gardener is confirmed to appear in HBO’s Green Lantern series, Lanterns.
The Last of Us
During a recent interview with THR, Craig Mazin stated that though he’s “not going to go past” The Last of Us Part II in his own series, “somebody” else is likely to make a Dunk and Egg-esque spinoff somewhere down the line.
I am not going to go past the game. I’ll just say that flat out. There might be a ‘Dunk and Egg'[-style] The Last of Us show that happens that somebody does. But for me, the only question is: Is it going to be one more season or will it require two more? If this can happen all in one more season, great. If we feel like it makes sense to break it into two, then we will do that.
The Eternaut
Finally, aliens invade Earth with a deadly snowfall in the latest trailer for The Eternaut, premiering this April 30 on Netflix.
