Benedict Bridgerton‘s illustrious affair with the Lady in Silver is still stealing the hearts of Netflix viewers, easily placing the first half of Bridgerton Season 4 back atop the streamer’s weekly rankings yet again from February 2 to 8.
In their first full week on Netflix, the first four episodes of the season attracted 23.4M views, the streamer says. That’s just a hair below the total for Season 3, Volume 1 in the same interval, making Bridgerton one of the rare series that has managed to maintain a majority of its audience into its fourth season. That is, if the series can sustain this level of interest with the second half of the season.
The remaining four episodes of Bridgerton Season 4 are set to debut at the end of February. When that happens, viewership comparisons will get more difficult, but for now they are pretty apples-to-apples. We dove into the complications when this happened with the final season of Stranger Things, which you can read about here.
Prior seasons of the period drama were also seeing renewed interest with Season 4’s premiere. Season 1 took No. 5 on the Top 10 with 3.5M views, while Season 3 placed eighth with 3M views.
Also in TV, The Lincoln Lawyer returned with its fourth season during this interval. The series came in at No. 9 with 9M views, which is actually up over the third season’s debut performance. No wonder it’s already been renewed for Season 5. That said, Season 3 debuted to some strong competition from series including Outer Banks, Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story, and Love is Blind. Besides Bridgerton, there was not quite as much content holding onto viewer attention on Netflix last week.
Third place went to His & Hers with 6.2M views, continuing its strong showing over the last few weeks. But fourth place? That went to Is It Cake? Valentines with 4.3M views.
In film, Matt Damon and Ben Affleck’s suspense thriller The Rip came in No. 2 with 7.4M views. A new true crime documentary took the top spot. The Investigation of Lucy Letby, following a divisive 2023 case of a neonatal nurse in the UK convicted of murdering seven babies and attempting to murder seven more, scored 12.9M views.
