It's two for two on the Nintendo rumours front. After whispers of a Star Fox remake turned out to be true, the company has confirmed it's also got a The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake on the way, and it's coming to Switch 2 later this year.

There's not a huge amount to report beyond that, however, with Nintendo only showing a brief teaser during its latest Direct showcase. Not that there's a huge amount to say: this is, after all, Ocarina of Time's third go around following its 1998 debut on N64 and its 2011 3DS remake, so the classic action-adventure is hardly an unknown quantity. Hopefully we'll get to see its enhancements soon.

This latest Ocarina of Time do-over - which we first heard rumours of in March - is set to launch later this year, with more details coming at a later date.

It arrives ahead of Nintendo's next foray into the movies, with a live-action take on The Legend of Zelda currently scheduled to hit cinemas on 30th April next year. Wes Ball is directing with series creator Shigeru Miyamoto producing.

Confirmation of Ocarina of Time's rumoured remake arrives as part of Nintendo's latest Direct showcase, which follows big announcement blow-outs from both PlayStation and Xbox during this year's Summer Game Fest. As for the SGF's flagship live event, that also brought its own smorgasbord of announcements, meaning it's a busy time in video games.
