Having owned the JBL Charge 5 for several years and taken it on a whole load of adventures, I've already found that it offers excellent value. So I was even more chuffed when I saw you can now buy it for even less – currently you can get the JBL Charge 5 from Amazon for £92 (was £179.99)!

Not only is that almost half price, but it's also its lowest price to date, making it a real bargain. That price covers only the Red colorway, but worry not: the Teal version is available at the Charge 5's previous best price of £92.99, and you can grab the Camouflage, Green, or Grey editions for not much more at £94.99.

Today's best JBL Charge 5 deal

I've owned the Charge 5 for years now, so it holds a special place in my heart. After all, it's seen me through camping trips, hours of motorway tailbacks, and Greek island hopping without skipping a beat. That's why I'm not remotely surprised it won a colossal 4.5 stars in our JBL Charge 5 review.

While I've always found the Charge 5 to be capable of impressive bass and serious volume, it's also remarkably well balanced – there's no tinny trebles or gappy mids here. It's also got a capacious battery that'll happily last me up to 20 hours, and I love that I can use some of that juice to charge my phone if I ever get caught short.

But what about the JBL Charge 6? Well, that's got some serious upgrades over its predecessor. It can play back hi-res audio over USB-C, is capable of connecting with a number of Auracast-compatible speakers to give you a huge array of linked speakers, has a beefed-up 28-hour battery, and has a handy carry strap. And given the above discount, I'm even more tempted to upgrade than ever.
