The Inbetweeners creators have addressed Emily Atack's absence from new movie as they shared new BTS snap from filming.
Emily's absence from the third film has been plagued by feud claims after it was rumoured that she was delaying the reunion due to a longstanding feud with James Buckley.
The actress, 36, whose star has risen in recent years thanks to her role in Rivals, is said to have refused to return after she was unceremoniously axed from The Inbetweeners reunion seven years ago following a 'past fling'.
Emily played Charlotte Hinchcliffe who was Will McKenzie's (Simon Bird's) love interest in the Channel 4 series.
And the creators Iain Morris and Damon Beesley have now addressed Emily's absence as they explained they 'couldn't squeeze every beloved character into the film'.
Taking to Instagram they shared a snap of the show's stars Joe Thomas (Simon Cooper), Blake Harrison (Neil Sutherland), James Buckley (Jay Cartwright) and Simon Bird (Will McKenzie) reading their scripts.

They penned: 'For the record, we’d like to clarify that, try as we might, we couldn’t squeeze every single beloved character from the TV shows into this new film. That's on us, and us alone.
'Again, people will speculate about why we make these choices, but sadly the truth is we just couldn’t find a plausible way in the script to bring back all our lovely ‘friends’. It’s not as headline worthy, but it’s the truth.'
The Daily Mail has contacted Emily's representatives for comment.
They added in the post: 'We love that everyone is interested, and it’s brilliant that these four idiots are still considered news.
'We’re all excited for the film, but the rumour mill can sometimes get carried away, so our advice is simple: if you want to fully enjoy what we’ve got in store for you, we’d suggest avoiding photos and conjecture about the story.
'We promise it’ll be a more enjoyable watch going in knowing nothing.'
Last week fans of The Inbetweeners were given an exciting first look at the upcoming third film as the cast were spotted on set shooting a mystery wedding scene.
Simon, Joe, James and Blake were all seen in smart suits outside a church – though it is not clear which of the four are getting hitched.
Plans for the movie emerged last month, but shortly after it was reported that Emily (Charlotte 'Big Jugs' Hinchcliffe) would not be returning over an alleged past feud with Buckley.
As filming kicked off, Ruby Wax's actress daughter Marina Bye – who wasn't in the series or either of the other films – was revealed as the bride and pictured in a wedding dress.
Also spotted on set was Emily Head, 37, who played Simon's teenage obsession Carli D'Amato as well as Martin Trenaman who played Simon's dad Alan.
Meanwhile the famously awkward Will was seen getting close to another new cast member, US actress Hannah Cruz, as the pair filmed a scene together – sparking intrigue over whether he finally has a woman in his life.
A host of new faces were also seen joining the boys, including Marama Corlett, Tadhg Murphy and Vanessa Eng.

After a joyous response to news of the third movie, fans soon began predicting the storylines – with a number of prospects for the characters.
One fan kicked off the speculation, writing: 'Inbetweeners 3 predictions: Jay is woke, Neil is rich from stocks/crypto, Simon is back with Tara. The film is Will's stag do and his fiancée is Charlotte or just someone too fit for him so that's a joke made all film.'
Another list read: 'Predictions: Simon's getting married but Tara's back on the scene and he's had his head turned. Stag do antics see Neil (who's in recovery) in bother...
'Will funds the trip with the bonus from his City job. Jay lives hand to mouth and is an awesome stay at home dad to five kids.'
An X user seemed to be none the wiser over Emily's omission, as they wrote: 'I'm gonna predict it's about Charlotte's wedding and she invited will...
'He's allowed a plus one and takes Simon but Jay and Neil tag along. Then the movie turns into hangover and it revealed Charlotte is marrying Donovan.'
