The Golden Bachelorette is winding down its inaugural season, and Joan Vassos has now weighed in on who should be the next Golden Bachelor star after she finds her happily ever after. Joan left The Golden Bachelor season 1 to deal with some personal matters with her daughter, but she got a second chance at finding love on TV via The Golden Bachelorette season 1. She's now down to just two men left--Chock Chapple and Guy Gansert. In the most recent episode, Pascal Ibgui broke her heart when he quit the show because he wasn't falling in love with her.

The Golden Bachelorette 's Joan Vassos revealed her thoughts on who should lead The Golden Bachelor season 2.

Amid filming of The Golden Bachelorette's "Men Tell All" special, Us Weekly spoke with Joan to get her thoughts on who should lead The Golden Bachelor season 2. She's very much in favor of ABC considering either Mark Anderson or Charles Ling for the lead but doesn't think producers should limit themselves to just those two during the casting process. Joan added that there are "at least five guys" among the Golden Bachelorette men who could take on the role.

Joan noted that the "Men Tell All" special is opening up fans' eyes to the wide array of choices that ABC has to choose from for The Golden Bachelor. "There's a lot of personality and there's a lot of kindness and really open men that could navigate this journey as well as I did," she admitted. Joan then went even further by claiming her suitors might be able to handle the lead role better than she did "because now they've kind of done it once."

What Joan Vassos’ Golden Bachelor Speculation Means For Franchise

Mark's Red Flags Might Doom His Chances

Joan's opinion probably won't be factored into ABC's decision-making process when choosing The Golden Bachelor season 2 star, but she clearly feels that there are multiple men who would do a great job succeeding her and Gerry Turner on the Golden spin-offs. When it comes to the next lead, most of the speculation has centered on Mark. In fact, he was talked about as the next lead way back during The Bachelor season 28 when Joey Graziadei first met him and the rest of Kelsey Anderson's family.

When Mark was eventually cast on The Golden Bachelorette, it seemed inevitable that a starring role in the franchise would come next. However, in recent weeks, red flags have been popping up regarding Mark and whether he's even the right man to lead the series. He's been accused of joining The Golden Bachelorette for fame instead of love. On the other hand, Charles has been one of the most genuine contestants on either Golden spin-off, which would be great to see next season.

Whether the next Golden Bachelor star ends up being Mark, Charles or one of the other men, hopefully, he doesn't go down the path that Gerry has taken, one in which his reputation has been destroyed over his relationship decisions. The Golden Bachelor season 2 has the ability to right the ship after Gerry became a villain and heartbreaker within Bachelor Nation. The man who takes the reins next has a lot to live up to, but the excitement is building for that looming announcement.

The Golden Bachelorette airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
