He used the platform to damage the reputation of fellow competitor Chock.

The salon owner, who is unable to complete basic tasks like laundry, managed to form connections with his fellow senior bachelors through his charisma and humor. He seemed to maintain a strong rapport with most competitors, but clung to resentment aimed at frontrunner Chock. He believed that the Kansas native was overly controlling of Joan’s time. Pascal told the media outlet that “Chock was all over her to the point where he was [like a] stalker.” This comment tarnished Chock’s reputation and seemed shockingly bitter.

He crossed a boundary when asking, "Which side of the bed do you sleep on?" This intimate question left the other competitors uncomfortable, with some wondering if his intentions were pure. Notably, while the other men were irritated by his behavior, they let go of their resentment and focused on their main priority: wooing Joan.

Guy, for the majority of the show, seemed pretty wholesome. He had been very transparent about his marriage with his ex-wife, Heidi Seevers O'Gara, and their subsequent divorce. While emphasizing the divorce and the difficulty of losing a partner, Guy chose not to disclose the restraining order she had requested.

According to The Sun, the legal process was prompted by his erratic behavior during a difficult time in Guy’s life. Heidi believed that his sleeping medication caused some of his aggressive behavior, including tampering with her car and sending "stacks of text messages.” When confronted about placing something behind her driver’s side tire, Guy pointed at her with two fingers, motioning as if firing a gun.

While she voluntarily withdrew the application three weeks later, this behavior doesn't make Guy look good. The fact that Guy opted not to share this information raised concerns as well. If he had been more transparent regarding his past, fans might be more forgiving of his indiscretions.

Pascal, Chock, and Guy of The Golden Bachelorette have beaten out their competitors despite questionable behavior. While Joan seems to have connected with them individually, she may want to second-guess her willingness to commit. Joan deserves nothing but the best. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like the show has chosen an ideal candidates.
