Even though it's an older watch now, we still rate the Garmin epix Pro as one of the best and most advanced smartwatches from the manufacturer. When it launched, though, it came at a very high cost. That's less of a problem now, though, as two retailers in the US and the UK have dropped the price dramatically.
Over in the US, you can find a massive 50% price cut on the Garmin epix Pro (Gen 2) at Amazon US, dropping it to $499.99 (was $999.99). Meanwhile, in the UK, the Garmin epix Pro (Gen 2) is on sale at H Samuel for £299.99 (was £739.99)
These are record-low prices for the smartwatch that scored an impressive 4.5 out of five in our review by fitness editor, Matt Evans. In fact, Matt liked it so much that he used it for his marathon prep and while running the race last year. It was invaluable for planning training routes, tracking his progress and offering accurate health metrics.
Definitely don't be put off too much by the age of the watch, especially if you are a dedicated runner. The navigation and tracking features are still excellent. Plus, alongside that, you get a bright and clear AMOLED display, a built-in LED flashlight, up to 16 days of battery life, and handy on-wrist notifications.

You can read through Matt's full Garmin epix Pro review to get a full breakdown of why he scored it so highly. To summarise, he called it a "high-performing endurance watch that operates wonderfully".
It may not have been a transformative upgrade compared to some of the manufacturer's other wearables, but it nails everything it wants to do so well. If you're a runner who wants a high-end device for tracking progress, monitoring key health metrics, and needs the longevity of an extensive battery life, this watch will tick all of those boxes — and it's now available for a much lower price.
