January is always a weird spot for deals on Samsung Galaxy devices because the brand usually unveils its next generation of flagships in February. Subsequently, it's often hard to recommend the soon-to-be-replaced current series.
Right now, however, Amazon has a fantastic price on the standard Galaxy S25, with the 128GB variant retailing for just $649 (was $799) unlocked. That's a price that's just as good as Black Friday and one that's probably worth considering if you just want a no-strings-attached deal on a solid Android flagship.
Not only do you not need the usual plan or trade-in to get your discount here, but I doubt the latest series will be anywhere near this cheap for a good while. It's usually a couple of months at least before we start to see the big upfront price cuts hit major unlocked retailers like Amazon or Best Buy.
So far, all the latest rumors for the upcoming Galaxy S26 series point to another iterative upgrade, rather than a major one. It's also likely that the series will arrive a little later in February, which again might be another reason to just opt for a cheaper Galaxy S25 right now. Either way, you have a really great option here that's worth considering.
