It has been 30 years since the stars of Britpop were ruling the airwaves - with the fresh faced stars of the nineties portraying the epitome of cool both on and off stage.
The most recognisable band names include Oasis, Blur, Pulp and The Verve and their lead singers became alternative pin ups of the era.
Key players of the time included Justine Frischmann, Damon Albarn, Shirley Manson and The Gallaghers, moulding the generation with their effortless flair.
This week, a 1990s indie icon announced her return to music, 20 years after she toured with one of the biggest names in the game, Blur.
But while her announcement will no doubt delight fans, Sleeper frontwoman Louise Wener also set tongues wagging with her unrecognisable appearance.
This singer - whose band were famed for hits like Nice Guy Eddie and What Do I Do Now? - made an appearance on The Chris Moyles Show on Radio X on Monday to tease their comeback.
Following her appearance, we take a look at the other stars of the iconic era and what they have done since and where they are now...

As well as being known for her music, Justine's name is also synonymous with dating Blur frontman Damon Albarn during the Britpop heyday.
The alt-pop power couple dated for seven years and their relationship influenced Albarn's songwriting, particularly on the Blur albums Beetlebum (1997) and 13 (1999).
Opening up about their split in 1998, Justine told Uncut: I think it was hard for Damon when Elastica started getting some success in America.
'It's funny because we both thought we were too evolved for classic gender roles, but looking back he thought his band more important because he was the guy. And on some level I did, too.'
Justine, who retired from music in 2001 when Elastica split, has since moved to the San Francisco Bay Area a now works as a visual artist.
She studied art in Boulder, Colorado in 2005 and began exhibiting her work in 2013.
In 2008, she married Ian Faloona, a professor of meteorology.

Richard is best known as the moody lead singer of The Verve, who Chris Martin described as the 'best singer in the world'.
He is the brains behind the iconic 90s track - Bittersweet Symphony - which caused controversy after sampling The Rolling Stones' song, The Last Time.
As a result, Richard was forced to sign over the rights to Mick Jagger and Keith Richard - during which time the song made $5million in royalties.
In 2019, Richard's manager reached out to Jody Klein, the son of the band's former manager Allen, to request that the writing credits and royalties were returned.
Jagger and Richards agreed to the move, which Richard described as 'kind and magnanimous' from the rock legends.
Following The Verve's split in 1999, Richard went on to become a successful solo artist in his own right and releasing UK top three solo albums.
Richard is still performing to this day and was recently announced as one of the support acts for Oasis' upcoming reunion tour.

Jarvis, who is the founder and frontman of 90s sensation Pulp, became a figurehead for the Britpop genre midway through the decade.
He founded the band, originally under the name Arabacus Pulp, which underwent several line-up chances and a shortened title before finding fame in the 1990s.
Pulp found success with their first two albums, His 'n' Hers (1994) and Different Class (1995) before releasing a further two records which didn't reach the same heights.
Famously, Jarvis and former Pulp member Peter Mansell invaded the stage in protest against Michael Jackson's performance at the BRIT Awards.
Jarvis was arrested under suspicion of assault and represented by comedian and former solicitor Bob Mortimer, who was also in attendance. He was later released without charge.
Away from the band, Jarvis launched a solo career but his debut solo LP - Jarvis - stalled at number 37 in the charts. He later released collaborations Further Complications and Room 29.
In 2017, Jarvis announced he was creating a new band called JARV IS, which he is still apart of to this day.
Jarv Is released their original soundtrack to the BBC medical comedy-drama series This Is Going To Hurt in 2022.
He currently lives in Shepherd's Bush, with his wife, creative consultant Kim Sion, who he has been with since 2007.

Damon, known for his boyish looks and cheeky personality, spent the nineties locked in a rivalry with the Gallagher Brother's Oasis.
The undeniably cool band with their cockney sound stormed the charts following the release of their album Parklife in 1994.
After struggling financially and touring in U.S. to try and recoup their losses, Damon began writing to reflect the band's British heritage.
The iconic album revived Blur and the album's first single, Girls & Boys, achieved critical acclaim and success.
Parklife entered the UK chart at No.1 and remained in the chars for an incredible 90-week stint and his now regarded as a defining moment in Britpop history.
The release of the album's single Country House from their next album played a part in Blur's public rivalry with Oasis termed the Battle of Britpop.
Due to increasing antagonism between the groups, Blur and Oasis decided to release their new singles on the same day, dubbed the British Heavyweight Championship.
Damon has also been a part of virtual band Gorillaz, who have been rewarded with success across Europe.
On a personal level, following his split from Justine, Damon began a 25-year relationship with Suzi Winstanley.
Despite never marrying, the couple have been together since 1998 and have a 25-year-old daughter called Missy.
The couple split in 2023 with Suzi said to be 'heartbroken' over the end of their romance.
The Gallaghers
Formed in 1991, the Britpop group rose to fame with hits like Wonderwall, Don't Look Back In Anger and Stop Crying Your Heart Out
Formed in 1991, the Britpop group rose to fame with hits like Wonderwall, Don't Look Back In Anger and Stop Crying Your Heart Out.
They went on to become one of the biggest bands in British music history before their break-up in 2009.
The brothers went on to have successful separate careers, with Noel fronting the group Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds.
Fans of the Manchester rock band have pleaded with the brothers to regroup since they disbanded in 2009, prompted by a backstage brawl at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris.
Their last concert together was at V Festival at Weston Park, Staffordshire, in August 2009. Days later, they cancelled the headline gig at the Rock en Seine festival following the argument.
Noel explained at the time: 'It's with some sadness and great relief to tell you that I quit Oasis tonight. People will write and say what they like but I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer.'
In recent years, Liam has been keen to make amends with his brother and reform the iconic Britpop band, but his older brother poured cold water on the idea.
But after Noel's £20m divorce from ex-wife Sara MacDonald last year, the elder Gallagher is said to have been persuaded of the financial merits of getting the band back together.
