Nearly a decade since NBC’s long-running hit series, Grimm, premiered its Season 6 finale, the stars of the dark fantasy show stopped by Collider’s studio at San Diego Comic-Con 2026 to revisit the tireless work they put in and celebrate their enduring legacy. While speaking with our own Steven Weintraub, it didn’t take long for the conversation to veer from the past to looking towards the future.

In 2011, shows like Grimm were allowed room to breathe and transform, with over 20 episodes per season — something almost unheard of today. From showrunners and co-creators Jim Kouf and David Greenwalt, alongside co-creator Stephen Carpenter, the series followed homicide detective Nick Burkhardt (David Giuntoli), who discovers he’s a descendant of monster hunters. Over the six seasons, Grimm’s lore became richer and expanded exponentially from its cop procedural beginnings.
