Half the fun of traveling is the prep and anticipation that comes with it. From the beauty prep (like spray tan and mani/pedi appointments) to the outfit planning, the weeks leading up to a trip are an event in and of themselves. One of the most important items for any frequent traveler is their luggage. Whether you're someone who rolls up with an extra-large checked bag or prefer to pack light with just an overnight bag or backpack, Béis has options — and our editors are big fans.
Our editors spend a lot of time traveling, for work and for pleasure, so they know a thing or two about what makes a good travel bag — as does Béis founder Shay Mitchell. Celebrities likely travel more than any of us, which is likely why Mitchell has been so successful with her brand. From the built-in scale on the checked bag to the convenient shoe compartment on the bottom of The Weekender (or target="_blank"The Weekender Mini), the magic is in the details of these bags.
If you're in the market for some new luggage, keep reading to learn about some of our editors' favorites from the brand.

Béis Mini Weekender ($98)
The Bis Mini Weekender has all of the features you love from the large version but in a more compact, 16-inch by 16-inch size. It features the large wire-frame opening at the top and separate shoe compartment on the bottom, as well as a padding laptop sleeve and two small internal pockets to hold all of your belongings. Read our full review of the Béis Mini Weekender here.
Editor Quote: "I adore my original Weekender bag — it's super functional (so. many. pockets.) without sacrificing on style — so I had high expectations for the mini version. This bag does not disappoint, especially as a personal-item carry-on bag.
For starters, the Béis Mini Weekender Bag has the two main features I loved from the original version: the double-zip shoe compartment and the pass-through trolley sleeve. Plus, this bag has a padded, built-in laptop sleeve; two exterior zip pockets; a large zip pocket on the inside; and two small slip pockets. It even has a key-ring strap where you can attach pouches, keys, or your wallet for easy access.
With this organizational setup, it was easy to consolidate, fold, and pack my things. The top section fit three dresses, a pair of leggings, two tank tops, jean shorts, undergarments, socks, a set of pajamas, and a small pouch of medications. I used the two slip compartments to store my charging accessories, toothbrush, and other toiletries. The internal zip pocket came in handy when flying back; I used it to separate my dirty clothes. I kept my iPad in the padded laptop sleeve. The bottom shoe compartment fits a pair of shoes, my flat iron, and my makeup case. And I still had enough leftover room to pack a few snacks and put my handbag inside." — Anvita Reddy, former assistant shopping editor

The Béis Weekender is a great travel bag for overnights, long weekends, and light packers. It also double as your personal item on flights, fitting snuggly under the seat in front of you. It has a separate compartment for shoes and/or dirty laundry, which is genius, a padded laptop sleeve, a key strap, and a variety of internal and external pockets.

Editor Quote: "I really enjoyed using the Béis Weekender Bag for my short trip to Florida. It fit everything my dad and I needed for the weekend, plus an extra outfit each. But the best part of this bag is its versatility. It's ideal for a quick weekend trip on its own, but it's also great as carry-on luggage for a longer trip, whether you're flying or driving. I even used it to store and pack everything I needed for my best friend's wedding. I loved distinct sections for clothes and more delicate items vs. heavier, durable items like shoes, hair tools, and toiletries. The trolley pass-through sleeve in the back is one of the most clever features of this bag." — Anvita Reddy, former assistant shopping editor

Béis The Backpack ($118)
You can't go wrong with this Béis backpack. Whether you're looking for a cool school bag, a workbag that doesn't hurt your back, a new personal item for flights, or even a diaper bag, this fits the bill. Some exciting featues include a large exterior zip pocket on the front and two slip pockets on the side, a padded laptop sleeve, and a trolly pass-through. Read our full review of Béis's The Backpack here.
Editor Quote: "Like Béis's other travel accessories, the backpack is loaded with tons of thoughtful organizational compartments. There's a padded sleeve that's perfect for carrying laptops, iPads, Kindles, and other delicate tech; an equally large compartment with suitcase-like compression straps to hold clothes or packing cubes; two smaller, zippered internal compartments (one with clear plastic and one with mesh); and a smaller external compartment to stash things you need to reach for quickly (think: keys — yes, there's even a key leash — your cell phone, wallet, and even a pen). It functions like a mini carry-on suitcase you can wear on your back.
I appreciate that there are extra design elements that you don't typically find on backpacks, like two water bottle pockets instead of one — an essential feature as a mom with two kids — and even a trolley sleeve, so I can slip my suitcase handle through it to give my back a rest while traveling. I also love the backpack's minimalist aesthetic. It's monochromatic with subtle branding and has just a touch of faux leather on the water bottle sleeves and along the base. It's utilitarian but luxe and is the perfect gender neutral bag, so my husband and I can share it." — Angela Elias, contributing shopping editor
Béis The Commuter Tote
Béis The Commuter Tote ($138)
This is not your average work tote. It has all of the features you've likely wished your bag had. It has a large zipper pocket to hold all of your necessities, complete with a padded laptop sleeve. The outside features a hidden phone pocket for easy access and a trolly pass-through just in case you want to take it traveling. There are two handle options: a long shoulder strap and a removable crossbody strap.
Editor Quote: "Several years back, I bought myself the Béis Work Tote because it's versatile and equally suitable for the office, travel, and happy hour. Needless to say, I got a ton of mileage out of it. Even when my work situation shifted to full-time remote, it still remained my preferred travel companion. However, recently, I realized it was time for an upgrade, and that's when the Béis Commuter Tote from the brand's new Commuter Collection caught my attention.
Now that I've had the chance to use it, I can confidently say that it's a worthy investment. Unlike my previous bag, this one is tailor-made for travel enthusiasts. It boasts several features that I absolutely adore, such as the metal feet on the bottom, ensuring it stands upright, a cleverly designed key leash, and a zippered trolley pass-through that conveniently doubles as a pocket when not attached to your luggage. It effortlessly accommodates all my essentials and keeps me well-organized with its array of compartments. What's more, I'm still discovering new features, like the nifty water bottle holder that prevents unwanted spills.
This tote is made of sleek nylon and faux leather, and it features both top-handle straps and a removable crossbody (which is personally my go-to while racing around the airport). If you're a frequent traveler searching for a minimalist yet highly practical, durable, and easy-to-clean bag, take my word for it — you won't regret adding this Béis Commuter Tote to your collection." - Marisa Petrarca, contributing shopping editor
Béis The Commuter Duffel
Béis The Commuter Duffel ($158)
If you love a good duffle bag, this Béis The Commuter Duffle is sleek and so easy to carry. It's made of water-resistant nylon with vegan leather detailing and metal feet to elevate it. Inside, there's a water bottle pocket, a padded laptop sleeve, a zipper pocket, two mesh pockets, and two elastic pockets. The outside also has a zipper pocket, slip pocket, and trolly pass-through.
Editor Quote: "I am a carry-on girlie through and through, but ever since I started taking more weekend trips with my girlfriends and indulging in a slew of overnight stays (all in the same of self-care, of course), I quickly realized that my carry-on suitcase had proven to be more of a nuisance rather than a practical investment — at least for those super-short trips when I only require an outfit or two. My colleagues have long raved about Béis's weekender bags, and after the brand debuted its newest Commuter Collection earlier this fall, I knew it was high time I gave the brand a try — and with its sleek Commuter Duffel, no less.
Despite it being a 'weekender bag,' the product boasts ample interior space that's incredibly deep and functional — so much so that I'm genuinely convinced it might have more packing space than some of my hardside carry-on bags. The bag also goes far beyond your typical duffel as it's fitted with functional exterior pockets, interior organizers (including a pocket that's perfect for storing your laptop), adjustable leather straps, and five metal feet on the bottom, which help to keep the accessory clean — even when it's sitting on the ground.
I love how sleek the bag looks and the fact that it's incredibly lightweight. I took it as my plus-one on a recent trip to Sedona and managed to fit everything and more into the accessory — including seven outfits, two pairs of shoes, my toiletry bag, portable steamer, and more. Beyond making it my new go-to bag for weekend trips, I have a hunch I'll also be using it as my personal carry-on bag moving forward, too." - Kyley Warren, former assistant shopping editor

Béis The 21-Inch Carry-On Roller ($268)
Any frequent flyer knows that your carry-on bag is the most important piece of luggage, so it's important to pick a good one. The Béis The 21-Inch Carry-On Roller has a lot of bells and whistles; there's a built-in combination lock, 360-degree swiveling wheels, a weight-limit idicator, a two-inch expander, and a cushioned silicone grip handle. Read our full review of the Béis Carry-On Roller here.
Editor Quote: "This compact carry-on has just the right amount of compartments to help me stay organized — even if I skip the packing cubes. I can cram a surprising amount, thanks to the expansion gusset that gives me an extra two inches. For me, that means being able to pack a few slightly bulkier creature comforts. The two interior zip pockets are another favorite feature because I can use the plastic one for holding extra travel toiletries, flip flops, or even a damp bathing suit if I don't have time to let it dry before my return flight. All of the interior compartments make it possible for me to travel with fewer zippered pouches, which ultimately saves space.
The 360-degree swivel wheels glide beautifully — even my 5-year-old can pull it without getting tripped up — and the cushioned silicone grip handle feels so good in your hand! I also love that it has a TSA-approved combination lock so I can feel better about packing valuables." — Angela Elias, contributing shopping editor

Béis The Medium Check-In Roller ($338)
What's not to love about this bag? It has smooth, 360-degree wheels that make maneuvering around the airport a breeze, and the cushioned handle is so comfortable to hold. Inside are more pockets than you'll know what to do with. There's a U-zip flap, one zip and one frosted pocket, a zip pouch for valuables, and separate pouches for dirty clothes, shoes, or damp clothing.
Other standout features include a weight indicator, TSA-approved combination lock, and two-inch expander.
Editor Quote: "I can't remember the last time I got a new checked bag — I think it was inherited from my parents in high school — so needless to say, I was long overdue. After doing some research, Béis's The Medium Check-In Roller seemed like the perfect fit for my needs.
There are a ton of cool features that I didn't even know I needed, like a built-in weight indicator that ensures I never have to pay fees for my bag being too heavy. There's also a lock that gives me comfort that my valuables are safe when my bag is out of sight and a two-inch expandable space that I always end up needing at the end of a trip, despite my best efforts to pack light.
I got the new colorway, maple, and it's so chic." — Jessica Harrington, beauty section lead
