The Bachelor star Irena Srbinovska has shared her disappointment after she and her two-year-old daughter were kicked out of a Perth store.

The former reality TV star recently posted a clip on social media revealing she had an upsetting run-in with a retail employee while shopping for shoes.

'I was just at a local shop with my mum and Ava, a footwear store. Ava grabbed two shoes off the sales rack and was handing them to my mum to try on,' Irena began.

She then said her toddler's actions caught the attention of an employee who reprimanded her daughter.

'The store lady snatched them off her and said, "No, I will take them off from you. Bye bye,"' she said.

Irena went on to explain that the encounter made her feel uncomfortable.

'My toddler was holding two pairs of shoes; she wasn't doing anything with them. What are your thoughts on strangers telling your child off, even when they weren't doing anything?' she asked.

She added she was so confused by the store member's actions that she didn't have a chance to react.

'I had told her to put them back, I was ready to leave...' she wrote.

Her post divided fans, with many of them taking to the comments section to share their thoughts.

'Children should be kept close and not carry / play around in a store with items. Those items are pricey and displayed to be sold, not played with,' one person wrote.

'I do have to side with the store assistant on this one,' a second added.

'I fully understand that it made you uncomfortable and Ava probably didn't like it either. She does need to understand that items in a store are not for children to be touching or carrying,' they continued.

'So inappropriate of the sales lady,' one person wrote.

'Wow!!!!! SOOOOOOO rude. Hell to the no,' another added.
