He explained that he wanted to focus more on the budding relationship, but was busy with work. DWTS doesn't offer a grand prize. Instead, they pay their contestants a salary, so this was Joey's job.

Joey went on to explain that he worked so hard on Dancing With The Stars 33 rehearsals every day, that when he got home at night, he had very little to give to the relationship, despite wanting to. The Bachelor season 28 star went on to rave about how great Kelsey was during the whole thing. She was always a supportive partner who understood that he was working very hard. Kelsey was willing to be patient, and what could have been a problem ended up making them stronger. “She was so amazing and so understanding during it," Joey said.

"I tried my best to be the best communicator I could, and I think it made our relationship stronger at the end of the day.”

In the clip, fans asked about a wedding date, to which Kelsey replies, "definitely within the next two years." She went on to say that they'd pick a date "within the next six months." Since that was over four months ago, The Bachelor season 28 couple could make a wedding date announcement any day now.
