2024 SAG Awards Recap: Tipsy Pedro Pascal, Shocking Reunions and Must-See Moments!
The nominations for the 2025 SAG Awards have been unveiled.
The initial announcement, which was set to air live on Netflix’s YouTube channel Jan. 8 and helmed by A Family Affair star Joey King and Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story star Cooper Koch, was canceled due to the ongoing wildfires and devastating winds affecting Los Angeles. (The organization published the full list via a press release instead.)
As far as movies go, films such as Wicked and Emilia Perez were predicted to earn at least a few nods fresh off the 2025 Golden Globes. Meanwhile, in the land of television, fan-favorite shows such as Shogun, The Bear, Only Murders in the Building and Abbott Elementary were also at the top of the predictions list for this year's nominations.
Now, when it comes to the main event, Nobody Wants This star Kristen Bell will host the annual ceremony, streaming live on Netflix on Sunday, Feb. 23 at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT. (This will mark her return to the annual event as an after previously helming the 2018 ceremony.)
“Thrilled to be hosting the SAG Awards again this year,” the Gossip Girl alum recently told Netflix. “I’m honored to be asked back and can’t wait to share the evening with my fellow actors, doing what we do best ... celebrating ourselves."
But that's not all we know about the star-studded evening, as legendary actress Jane Fonda will be presented with the Life Achievement Award, SAG-AFTRA’s highest honor.
“I have been working in this industry for almost the entirety of my life and there’s no honor like the one bestowed on you by your peers,” she told Variety last October in a statement. “SAG-AFTRA works tirelessly to protect the working actor and to ensure that union members are being treated equitably in all areas, and I am proud to be a member as we continue to work to protect generations of performers to come.”
Until then, keep reading for the full list of the 2025 SAG Awards nominations....
