Brian Cox is coming down the chimney.

In the first trailer for Netflix‘s animated holiday comedy “That Christmas,” the “Succession” alum suits up as Santa Claus as he tells the story of one of the most challenging nights in his career.

Based on the charming trilogy of children’s books by beloved multi award-winning writer/director Richard Curtis (“Four Weddings and a Funeral,” “Notting Hill,” “Love Actually,” “Yesterday”), “That Christmas” follows a series of entwined tales about family and friends, love, loneliness and Santa Claus making a big mistake — not to mention an enormous number of turkeys.

The ensemble cast includes Fiona Shaw, Jodie Whittaker, Lolly Adefope, Alex Macqueen, Katherine Parkinson, Sindhu Vee, India Brown, Zazie Hayhurst, Sienna Sayer, Jack Wisniewski, Rosie Cavaliero, Paul Kaye, Guz Khan, Andy Nyman, Kuhu Agarwal, Bronte Smith, Freddie Spry and Ava Talbot with Bill Nighy and Rhys Darby.

Curtis makes his first foray into animation as the Locksmith Animation comedy’s writer and executive producer. Peter Souter co-wrote the film with Curtis. “That Christmas” is also the feature directorial debut of animation veteran Simon Otto (“Love, Death & Robots,” “How to Train Your Dragon” films). John Powell composed music for the film.

Nicole P. Hearon (“Moana,” “Frozen”) and Adam Tandy (“The Thick of It,” “Detectorists”) are producers. Mary Coleman, Natalie Fischer, Julie Lockhart, Elisabeth Murdoch, Bonnie Arnold, Lara Breay, Sarah Smith, Rebecca Cobb, Colin Hopkins and Curtis executive produce.

Netflix’s holiday season lineup also includes four merry rom-coms, NFL’s two Christmas Day marquee games, Christmas-set thriller “Carry On” with Taron Egerton, the Keira Knightley-led holiday mystery series “Black Doves” and Sabrina Carpenter’s “A Nonsense Christmas” special.

“That Christmas” hits Netflix on Dec. 4. Watch the trailer below.
