Teddi Mellencamp opened up about her desire to start taking weight loss drugs amid her battle with cancer.
The reality TV star, 44, said she asked her doctor if she could take GLP-1s after her body changed during treatments and was disappointed when she was told no.
'I am a health and wellness coach who's dying of cancer,' she said on Wednesday's podcast episode of Two Ts in a Pod in a chat with her guest cohost, Dolores Catania.
'And because I gained weight from the steroids [from my treatment], because I'm getting bigger from the steroids, I asked my doctor if I could please have GLP-1s. And he was like, "No!"'
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum — who revealed she has been dating a mystery older man — expressed her frustration after her doctor disapproved, adding: 'Let me live!'
She recalled feeling like her doctor was telling her to 'live my best life, but I don't even get [the medications I want].'

'I'm so sorry someone told you no,' Catania responded as she suggested Mellencamp obtain the weight loss drugs elsewhere. 'But I don't know that I'd listen.'
Mellencamp added: 'I mean, I know people where I could get it. I have friends that do it.'
'Well, I'm taking it tomorrow if you want to start with me,' the Real Housewives of New Jersey alum told Mellencamp.
Continuing on the topic, Catania said she was hopeful that Mellencamp will survive and recover completely from the latter's stage 4 cancer diagnosis.
'I think maybe someone's lying,' Catania said. 'I don't think you're dying. Because [if you were dying], he would've said, "Oh, if that's what you want, sure. Take that, go do some coke, go snort whatever you want!"'
Mellencamp initially received a stage 2 melanoma diagnosis in 2022 and underwent over 17 surgeries in the span of two years during treatment.
In February 2025, she also shared an update about undergoing surgery to remove multiple brain tumors from her brain.
In early 2025, she was diagnosed with stage 4 melanoma that metastasized to her brain and lungs.

In October 2025, Mellencamp said that her doctors told her that her scans showed 'no detectable cancer.'
However, in January, she revealed that she was still struggling with her health and said on her podcast that the medications and immunotherapy took a 'toll on [her] body.'
In her latest update from last month, Mellencamp said she now has 'no trace of cancer' but is continuing with immunotherapy treatments.
Last month, she also revealed that a new medication triggered Stevens-Johnson syndrome.
Stevens-Johnson syndrome is a rare, serious disorder of the skin and mucous membranes - usually a reaction to medication that starts with flu-like symptoms, followed by a painful rash that spreads and blisters, per the Mayo Clinic.
