So TCL makes some of our favorite TVs for the money here at CNET, and the QM 6K is the newest version, and yes, it's available now, 999 for 65 inch size. Let's check it out. Now I mentioned 65 inch size. This guy behind me is 98 inches for $3500. There's also a 50 inch size for 750, so a nice range there on this QM 6 series. TCL is calling this a premium affordable television, and yeah, those prices are pretty affordable, but They're touting mini LED technology that's even better than it was last year. Now remember the QM 8 from last year was one of our favorite TVs for the money, full stop, great brightness, excellent contrast, really kind of as good as you can get without going up to OLED picture quality. So we expect really good things from this one because TCL is saying they have an even better QD mini LED technology, so they have different chips, they have a new lens array. They have a lot of improvements, including a newer LCD. The panel that they're saying improves the contrast and eliminates that blooming, which is that stray illumination you get around bright objects in a dark field. So really excited to check that out in the lab, which is going to happen relatively soon because this thing is shipping basically now. So this TV is going to be in the market really soon, which is really cool to see again in that wide range of screen sizes. Now this isn't the only new TCL mini LED TV coming out this year. The company says it's going to be in higher end ones coming out. A bit later they're giving us a little bit of a sneak peek tease to check those out. Let's go. So like I said, TCL has not detailed these televisions, but you can see you don't need much more details and this is a 115 inch TV. This is the QM 7 for 2025. Now if you remember, TCL already has a 115 inch TV on the market in 2024. That model is around $200 again. We don't have any pricing on this model, but they do say that the picture quality is going to be. Better. So again that improved mini LED tech with the lenses and the new panels, yada yada yada, but this one is going to be even brighter than that QM6 series that we just looked at. So again, no other details on this TV. We expect TCL to announce more details on this and probably even higher end mini LED TVs later in the year.
