Taylor Swift's new pet pooch takes centre stage in Travis Kelce's Tommy Hilfiger campaign

Taylor Swift's husband Travis Kelce was joined by a slew of fellow stars in his new modelling campaign - as well as his pet pooch. 

The sportsman, 36, posed for a new shoot in conjunction with being named Tommy Hilfger's Global Brand Ambassador to The Plaza Hotel — where the fashion powerhouse once lived and one of the city's most storied addresses.

Posing in a number of smouldering shots, Travis had the unlikely co-star of the fluffy, white Samoyed he shares with wife Taylor, also 36, who he married in July. 

Also in the campaign is Gigi Hadid, JISOO, Peggy Gou, Frances Tiafoe and Carmelo Anthony, alongside Tommy and his wife Dee Hilfiger.

In the pictures, Travis is seen reclining on a striped lounger and also features a video in which Travis is seen playing with the pooch on a sofa.

Speaking about the campaign, Travis said: 'Tommy brought us into his world at The Plaza for this, and it doesn't get more classic New York than that...

'There's a magic to this city, and I love that you never know who or what's around the corner. We had a blast tapping into that unique energy with a cast who truly embody the vibes that make this city so special.' 

Tommy himself said: 'Returning to The Plaza feels like a homecoming. The moment you walk through the doors, you feel the energy of New York...

'It's one of those rare places where the greats of pop culture have crossed paths for generations, and that atmosphere is still there today...

'Bringing Travis and this incredible cast together felt like celebrating everything I love about the city - its optimism, charisma and endless sense of possibility.' 

The 75-year-old designer opened up about his latest signing in an interview with WWD - calling Travis a 'true American icon' who is a perfect fit for Tommy Hilfiger.

He told the publication: 'As you know, we've over the years had a lot of iconic ambassadors, from Rafael Nadal to Gigi Hadid, Lewis Hamilton and recently Damson Idris from the F1 movie.

'We think Travis is a true American icon. He's not only a talented athlete, but he's a great person, a great personality and he's one of the most talked-about people in sport and pop culture. ...

'I'm excited to see how he brings a vibrant and bold take on our modern prep. Because that's what he wears. He wears preppy with a twist.

'He loves color and is not afraid to wear it. He's in the zeitgeist ... And you know he has a natural instinct for style. He knows what looks good on him. He likes to feel current ... '

Amid much speculation, it was revealed in July that the couple had welcomed the pooch into their married life. 

The couple haven't shared any details about the new dog including its name or gender and their new addition wasn't revealed until pictures of the fluffy pup emerged during their wedding in July.

Travis was later seen disembarking a plane with the pooch in the days after the ceremony.  The dog has had the best start in life after it was spotted landing in a private plane at President Trump International Airport in Palm Beach, Florida.

But while the pop sensation and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, who wed earlier this month in New York's Madison Square Garden, might be able to provide the canine with the pampering it needs - Samoyeds are one of the more difficult breeds to care for.

While they're friendly and gentle, the sledge dogs are tireless and require structured training - and, thanks to their thick fur, their 'high-maintenance' coats require consistent attention, according to pet charity PDSA.

Samoyeds, however, aren't the only breed that has mass appeal but require more care and attention than people might expect.
